This Evony Mounted General Tier List shows you all the best generals to use for a PvP march made up of Mounted Troops.

Mounted troops are most effective when used to attack other players with a heavy ground troop defense. Their high attack stat makes short work of the high defense and HP stats of ground troops.

Please note, that this Evony Mounted General tier list selects the best Evony mounted generals based on their attack stat. This is due to the primary use of this march to deal massive damage to ground troops.

Why use a Mounted General

Mounted troops are one of the most built troop types in Evony. However, this is usually for the purpose of taking out Boss Monsters and Event Monsters with one of the Best Evony Monster Hunting Generals.

Although they are usually used for monster hunting, their use in PvP should not be overlooked. Indeed, they have the highest attack stat versus ranged and ground troops.

This high attack stat makes them particularly effective at taking out durable ground troops when combined with one of the Best Evony Mounted Generals. Read our Evony Troop Guide for more information on the strengths and weaknesses of each troop type.

Evony Mounted General Counters

Although Evony Mounted Generals are very effective against ground troops, they can be easily countered. Due to their low defense and HP stat, they are easily picked off by ranged troops.

Combined with one of the Best Evony Ranged Generals, which has a Range Boost Skill Book applied, ranged troops can wipe out an entire mounted troop march before they even get close.

Always be on the lookout for ranged troops when attacking with a mounted General. This can be a very costly mistake. In the early game, in particular, there are many ranged focused players.

What makes a Good Evony Mounted General

When selecting an Evony Mounted General, there are some key things you want to look for to ensure they can get the most out of your mounted troops.

These Generals should first have skills that give mounted troops an even greater attack boost. This will help them take down ground troops that have been buffed up. In addition, HP and march size buffs can be useful due to the relatively low HP of mounted troops.

Evony Mounted General Skill Books

When starting to develop one of your Evony Mounted Generals, the first thing you will likely do is add Skill Books. For a pure mounted march, you may want to add the 3 following Skill Books if you are allowed:

Lvl 4 Mounted Troop HP – Mounted HP +25%
Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack – Mounted Attack +25%
Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%

Speed can also be an option here as it is likely you will regularly face ranged troops. Speed will allow you to get to them quicker and sustain fewer losses on the approach.
