Whiteout Survival Alliance Showdown Guide

In Whiteout Survival, some of the best events are those that see you having to work with your Alliance to come out on top. The Alliance Showdown does exactly this and combines it with some of the elements from the daily rankings found in events such as Hall of Chiefs, King of Icefield, and State of Power. In this Whiteout Survival Alliance Showdown Guide, we’ll show you exactly how this event works, what rewards are available, and provide tips on how to make the most of it.

Overview

Whiteout Survival Alliance Showdown Guide - Scoring Points

The Whiteout Survival Alliance Showdown Event is only open to the top 20 Alliances in each State. Provided you meet this condition, when the event begins, you will be paired against another top 20 Alliance from either within your State or, more often than not, another State. The event lasts for 6.5 days with each day representing a new “Match” where points can be earned by undertaking different activities as seen in other events such as King of Icefield and State of Power. Interestingly, this event also ties in with the Tundra Trade Route Event with points available each day for escorting and raiding trucks.

At the conclusion of each “Match”, the total score earned by each Alliance is calculated and the Alliance with the highest score is awarded a Victory Point. At this point, there are also daily Winning and Losing rewards and 5 Daily Chest point milestone rewards to be earned. At the end of the 6 Matches, the Alliance with the most Victory Points is declared the winner with further rewards distributed accordingly. In addition, there is a final reward available based on the Alliances Star Rating. In the next sections of this Whiteout Survival Alliance Showdown Guide, we will explore each of these things in more detail.

Matches

As mentioned in the previous section of this Whiteout Survival Alliance Showdown Guide, each new day that the event is running represents a new Match between the 2 paired Alliances. Victory Points

Whiteout Survival Alliance Showdown Guide - Victory Points

As mentioned previously, the Alliance who scores the highest total amount of points during each Match is declared the winner and is awarded a certain number of Victory Points depending on the Match. At the end of the event, the Alliance with the highest number of Victory Points is crowned the champion with improved rewards to boot. If both Alliances finish with an equal number of Victory Points, then the Showdown is declared a draw with both Alliances receiving the same rewards as if they lost. The number of Victory points earned for winning each Match is outlined in the table below:

DayMatchVictory Points
1Rise of the City1
2Hero Development2
3Pet Training2
4Gear Enhancement2

Star Rating

An Alliances Star Rating is an indication of how successful they have been across all Alliance Showdown events they have participated in. For every Alliance Showdown that an Alliance wins, they earn 1 Star Rating, whilst if they lose, they lose 1 Star Rating. This plays a huge role in the Star Rewards that Alliance Members receive at the end of the event, whether they win or lose. In particular, a higher Star Rating will lead to vastly higher Gems, Fire Crystals, and unique Daybreak Island decorations being paid out.

Best Item Usage

It is a hot topic of debate as to whether or not the Alliance Showdown event is worth using all your items on due to the somewhat lackluster rewards on offer. Indeed, many players would recommend only doing enough to earn your Daily Chests and saving everything else for higher value events such as State of Power and King of Icefield where you can earn Hero Shards. If that is the case then you are better aiming to meet the daily point goals via raiding and escorting trucks in the Tundra Trade Route Event, building Troops, Gathering, and so on. Nevertheless, if you do decide to commit to it, then we have highlighted in green our recommended item usage for each day of the event in the image below:

Alliance Ranking

At the end of the Alliance Showdown, there will also be rewards distributed based on your final points total ranking versus the other players in your Alliance. These rewards vary depending on whether you win or lose, what your Alliances Star Rating is, and are only paid out to the top 50 players within the Alliance. Rewards here are very generous and include the following:

Tips

  • Decide early on what your goal is with the event and communicate it to your Alliance. Most will decide to do the bare minimum and rather save their resources for the State of Power and King of Icefield events where ranking rewards are better.
  • If you are going for victory, keep an eye on the points total for both Alliances during each Match. There is no point in going all out if your opponent is doing the bare minimum. Do just enough to get you over the line.
  • Remember that you do not need to win every Match to win the Whiteout Survival Alliance Showdown. In addition, not every Match is equal with the 1st Match granting just 1 Victory Point to the winner and the final Match granting 4 Victory Points. In total, there are 13 Victory Points up for grabs meaning you will need 7 to win. Decide which Matches you want to target to get over this number but remember that if you win the final Match you will still need to win 2 others whilst if you don’t win it then you’ll need to win 4 of the others.
  • Always get the Daily Chests regardless of whether or not you are going for outright victory. Not only do these have some good rewards that can be earned easily, but they also have Truck Vouchers which are a great help during the Tundra Trade Route Event which runs concurrently with Alliance Showdown.
