In Whiteout Survival, players can hunt Beasts and Polar Terrors found on the map to earn valuable rewards. These hunts are often tied to event requirements, such as Alliance Mobilization, making them an essential part of gameplay. Beyond fulfilling event objectives, they provide a fantastic source of rewards, including resources, Gems, and Hardened Alloys. In this Whiteout Survival Beast & Polar Terror Hunting Guide, we’ll dive into the various types of Beasts and Polar Terrors you can encounter, their power levels, and the rewards you’ll gain for defeating them.

Polar Terror

Polar Terrors are significantly stronger than Beasts and require Alliance rallies to defeat. For rally leaders, initiating a rally costs 25 Stamina, while joining members incur no Stamina cost. However, rally leaders enjoy slightly better rewards, which include Speedups, Gems, and Epic General Hero Shards, marking them out as a step up on Beasts. The table below highlights the power levels of Polar Terrors and the rewards available to rally leaders.

Special Rewards
Special Rewards are additional rewards available to rally leaders in Polar Terror attacks, offering further incentives for leading. However, these rewards are not guaranteed with just a 50% chance of being triggered and are limited to 10 per day. On average, to maximize these rewards, you will need to lead 20 rallies daily.
The type of Special Rewards depends on the level of the Polar Terror, but the daily limit applies collectively across all levels. For instance, you could earn 5 Special Rewards from level 4 Polar Terrors and another 5 from level 6 Polar Terrors, thus reaching your daily cap. Below is a table summarizing the Special Rewards for each Polar Terror level:
| Level | Name | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cave Lion | Bahiti Shard x1 Gems x10 |
| 2 | Snow Ape | Bahiti Shard x1 Gems x15 |
| 3 | Iron Rhino | Bahiti Shard x1 Gems x20 |
| 4 | Saber-tooth Tiger | Epic General Hero Shard x1 Gems x25 |
| 5 | Mammoth | Epic General Hero Shard x1 Gems x30 |
| 6 | Frost Gorilla | Epic General Hero Shard x1 Gems x35 |
| 7 | Frostscale Chameleon | Epic General Hero Shard x1 Gems x40 |
Participant Rewards

Participant Rewards are given to players who join a Polar Terror rally, offering an extra incentive to support their Alliance. These rewards have a 100% chance of being triggered, with the exceptions of Gems which have a 20% chance, for each rally joined and are subject to a daily cap of 50 rallies for earning rewards. While you can continue to join rallies after reaching the cap, you will no longer receive rewards beyond this limit. Below is a breakdown of the Participant Rewards available for joining Polar Terror rallies at different levels:
| Level | Name | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Cave Lion | |
| 2 | Snow Ape | 5m Training Speedup x1 1K Meat x20 1K Wood x20 100 Coal x40 100 Iron x8 Gems x10 |

How to Get Stamina

Stamina is an essential resource in Whiteout Survival, particularly for events like Gina’s Revenge and Mercenary Prestige, where large amounts of it are required to maximize rewards. Managing your Stamina effectively is key to maintaining a steady flow of resources, rewards, and progress. Below, we outline the best ways to obtain Stamina in Whiteout Survival:
- Storehouse – Twice a day, you will receive a package of 120 Stamina from the Storehouse building. This Stamina is dropped at 12:00 UTC and 24:00 UTC. You must collect it before the next one appears or you will miss out.
- Hunter Pouch – During the Gina’s Revenge event, you can find Hunter’s Pouches by defeating Beasts. When opened, these have a small chance of rewarding you with 10 Stamina.
- Shops – Several of the shops in the game have Stamina available to be bought. For example, in the VIP Shop you can buy 10 Stamina for 100 Gems.
- Packs – One for the spenders, most packs you buy will contain some Stamina. Perhaps the best value in terms of Stamina return is the Ultra Value Monthly Card which gives you 200 Stamina everyday for a month.
- Events – There are several events throughout the game where you can earn Stamina as a reward for taking part. Keep an eye out for these and ensure you hit the objectives to earn it if you are running low. Check out all our Whiteout Survival Guides for help with all the events in the game.
Best Heroes for Hunting
When hunting Beasts and Polar Terrors in Whiteout Survival, a few Heroes excel in this role. This includes Heroes who are capable of dealing vast amounts of damage and those with utility skills such as stamina reduction or march speedups. Heroes use their Expedition Skills when hunting and this should be the first thing you check when deciding who is best for this role. However, after 2 to 3 months in the game, you will be able to take down all Beasts in the game regardless of the Heroes you send, and, when it comes to Polar Terrors, even a level 6 Frost Gorilla should not be a problem for your Alliance. Therefore, those Heroes you send will probably tilt toward those with utility skills for hunting such as those below:
- Gina – In terms of usefulness, Gina is probably the Best Hero for Hunting in Whiteout Survival. In particular, her Endurance Training skill reduces stamina cost by 20% when at its maximum level and her Quick Paced skill increases Wilderness March Speed by 100% for super quick attacks.
- Walis Bokan – This Hero sees his main utility from his 2nd Expedition Skill, Huntsman’s Gift, which increases Wilderness March Speed by 100% at its maximum level. Team him up with Gina when hunting to stack their march speed buffs for rapid attacks.
Before moving on to the next section of this Whiteout Survival Beast & Polar Terror Guide, it’s important to touch on how Skills work when hunting. Thankfully, the mechanics are similar to PvP, so if you’ve read our PvP Tips for Beginners, you should already have a solid understanding. When leading a rally, the buffs applied are determined by the Expedition Skills of all the Heroes you send, as well as the first Expedition Skill from the lead Hero of the first four rally participants. As a result, the best Heroes for hunting are typically your three strongest combat-focused Heroes with effective Expedition Skills. Generally, Heroes from later Generations outperform earlier ones, provided they’ve been upgraded as outlined in our Hero Guide.
Hunting Tips
- Never let your Stamina hit its limit of 200. If you don’t have a lot of time for rallies on Polar Terrors then simply send out a few attacks on Beasts to quickly burn some and earn easy rewards.
- Make use of Gina for her Stamina reduction and march speedup skills. This makes the whole process much more efficient and with her first Expedition Skill at max level, you will see Stamina costs reduced by a huge 25%.
- As outlined in our Tips for Beginners, whenever you are away from the game always have your rally auto-join switched on. This will accumulate rewards for you even when you are AFK for 0 stamina.
- If you just need resources then attacking Beasts will typically earn you the best return per stamina in this area. However, do note that you will miss out on the Gem, Speedup, and Shard rewards that you get from Polar Terrors.
