The Brothers in Arms Event, commonly known as the Kill Event (KE), is one of Whiteout Survival’s most intense PvP events, where States clash, and Alliances face off in all-out war. With significant rewards for top scorers, this event offers players a prime opportunity to prove their strength and settle old scores. Though it may not carry the same weight as the State of Power, the Kill Event is still incredibly popular and fiercely competitive. In this Whiteout Survival Brothers in Arms Guide, we’ll discuss how the event works, share tips for maximizing your score, and more.

How it Works
The Brothers in Arms event is a monthly PvP event that runs for 2 days from 00:00 UTC on Friday until 23:59 UTC on Saturday. During the event, players must kill or seriously injure the Troops of other players in their State to accumulate points. Rewards are then paid out for meeting certain milestone points and also for overall ranking versus other players. In the next sections of this Whiteout Survival Brothers in Arms Guide, we will cover in more detail the rewards you can win, how points are earned, and specific strategies you can employ to earn a serious number of points for the top rewards.
Earning Points
As mentioned in the previous section, points are earned by killing or severely injuring enemy troops. The number of points you earn is directly tied to the level of the Troop killed or wounded as follows:
| Level | Points |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 |
| 2 | 1 |
| 3 | 2 |
| 4 | 3 |
| 5 | 4 |
| 6 | 5 |
| 7 | 7 |
| 8 | 9 |
| 9 | 11 |
| 10 | 13 |
As such, although it can be tempting to target low-level enemies to get kills with little risk if their troop levels are very low, it is barely worth the effort. Instead, you are better off looking for cities with higher troop levels but lower power than your own or going after players who have their Troops out Gathering. We shall now examine these ideas in more detail, as each comes with its own risks and rewards.
Attacking Cities

The most obvious thing you can do to get points during the Brothers in Arms event is to attack enemy cities. For anyone that is active, there should always be Troops in there for you to take down. However, be warned, when attacking an enemy city, you face much harsher losses than when attacking other potential targets. Indeed, if you lose then 35% of your force will die never to be returned. Of the remaining, 10% will be severely injured and require healing at the infirmary with the others returning to your city. If your infirmary is full, then 60% of severely injured troops above this capacity will instead be sent to the Enlistment Office with the remaining being lost.
Attacking Tiles
A much safer approach, though often with fewer points to be won, is to attack players while they are Gathering at resource tiles. This is a popular tactic as none of the attacker’s Troops die even if they lose. They instead only face severely injured Troops who can be healed in the Infirmary assuming there is remaining capacity. In addition, tiles cannot be reinforced and therefore there is not a whole lot that can be done for the player if they are not online.
Defending & Reinforcing
Another way to earn points is by letting other players attack you; you’ll gain points for every enemy troop you kill or severely injure. If you have enough infirmary capacity, none of your Troops will die permanently, even if you lose the defense. Reinforcing allies who are under attack is also an effective way to earn points from defending. As noted in our PvP Tips for Beginners, reinforcing troops will follow a player’s city when they teleport. This can be a useful tactic for setting traps or assisting allies as they pursue objectives, such as in Sunfire Castle.
Castle Battle

The Castle Battle takes place on the Saturday of the Whiteout Survival Brothers in Arms event, where the state’s Alliances compete for control of the Sunfire Castle and the title of State President. Beyond the prestige and benefits of the presidency, the Castle Battle offers a relatively low-risk way to earn points. Unlike attacks on cities, attacking the Sunfire Castle and its Turrets only results in injured or severely injured Troops, with no permanent losses as long as you have enough Infirmary capacity.
Rewards

As previously mentioned, there are 2 ways to win rewards during the Brothers in Arms event: point milestones and overall rankings. Exactly what can be won in each category is now covered in the next 2 sections.
Milestone
For hitting certain point milestones during the Kill Event, you will earn rewards. Like other events with Milestone Rewards, such as Hall of Chiefs, there are 4 tiers of rewards available. However, the points required to hit each reward level will increase as your state gets older. Although this does make the rewards a little trickier to achieve, players should have higher-level Troops as they progress, thereby seeing you accumulate points faster. The rewards available are as follows:
| Milestone | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1K Meat (Secured) x80 1K Wood (Secured) x80 |
| 2 | 10K Meat (Secured) x50 10K Wood (Secured) x50 10K Coal (Secured) x50 10K Iron (Secured) x50 |
| 3 | 1K Hero EXP x12 5m Construction Speedup x35 5m Research Speedup x35 5m Training Speedup x35 |
| 4 | 4.8K Gems Mythic Expedition Skill Manual x5 Mythic Exploration Skill Manual x5 |
Ranking
At the end of the Brothers in Arms Kill Event, players will also receive rewards based on their overall ranking versus other players in the state in terms of their overall points. Unfortunately, however, these are only paid out to those in the top 100 as follows:
| Rank | Reward |
|---|---|
| 1 | 20K Gems 1hr Research Speedup x10 1hr Construction Speedup x10 |
| 2 | 12K Gems 1hr Research Speedup x7 1hr Construction Speedup x7 |
| 3 | 7.2K Gems 1hr Research Speedup x6 1hr Construction Speedup x6 |
| 4 – 5 | 4.5K Gems 1hr Research Speedup x5 1hr Construction Speedup x5 |
| 6 – 10 | 2.5K Gems 1hr Research Speedup x4 1hr Construction Speedup x4 |
| 11 – 20 | 1.5K Gems 1hr Research Speedup x3 1hr Construction Speedup x3 |
| 21 – 50 | 800 Gems 1hr Research Speedup x2 1hr Construction Speedup x2 |
| 51 – 100 | 400 Gems 1hr Research Speedup x1 1hr Construction Speedup x1 |
State Rules
As mentioned in our Tips for Beginners, all States will have rules, such as NAP10, but these are often thrown out the window when the Kill Event (KE) comes around. Nevertheless, there will often still be some rules that players are expected to follow such as not attacking allies or perhaps only hitting cities within a level or 2 of your own. Always make sure to check with your Alliance leadership what the rules are for the upcoming Brothers in Arms so that you don’t get yourself, or your alliance, into trouble!
Tips for Scoring High
Many players actually recommend not fully committing to the Brothers in Arms event, suggesting instead that you should aim just for the milestone rewards and keep a low profile once these are maxed out. The reasoning is simple: the cost of healing your Troops often outweighs the event rewards. However, the event itself is thrilling, and there’s clear prestige for top performers. With these Whiteout Survival Tips for the Brothers in Arms event, you can make a strong showing and score consistently, without the high risk of losing it all!
- Exchange Points – organize with another player to exchange points by hitting each other’s cities. This will allow you to get the milestone rewards and then you can simply stop.
- Wait for Castle Battle – the battle for the Sunfire Castle occurs on the Saturday of the Kill Event. If your Alliance is vying for control, it is best to save your Troops for this. During the battle, you will earn more than enough points to max out the milestone rewards, and perhaps even a decent final ranking, whether you are a reinforcer or an attacker.
- Hit Your Farms – most players will have at least 1 farm account in their State that they use for resources. However, it is also a great source of points during the Brothers in Arms event. Simply have your farm send all its Troops out to gather and then attack them for easy points. Remember to do this at a tile so none of your Troops die.
- Hide – if you don’t want to take part, or have hit your points goal already, then you may want to take measures to protect your Troops. That could involve simply ensuring your Shield is up for the entirety of the event, though this can cost a significant amount of Gems, or perhaps reinforcing Alliance buildings which are typically not targets.
- Rallies – if you must attack another player’s city, despite the permanent losses you will suffer, always do it in a rally. This greatly increases the odds of victory and thereby decreases the risk of huge and costly losses.
- Going For the Shrapnel – in the early days of a new State there will be a huge amount of player churn with people constantly quitting the game. For the first couple of Kill Events, this means there should be plenty of inactive cities around that can be attacked for easy points. However, in older States, this becomes less viable as these states will already have been cleaned out.
- Watch Your Target – while marching to an enemy city, it is not uncommon that they will be reinforced making your job of defeating them much harder. If you see lines going to your target, from their allies, do not hesitate to recall your Troops, it will save you a lot of pain.
- Reinforce Your Allies – likewise, you can use the same point within your own Alliance and reinforce any allies under attack. If there are a good number of you doing so, it should be a good defense with lots of points to be won, and, as a defender, none of your Troops will be permanently lost assuming you have free Infirmary capacity.
- Picking the Right Heroes – Choosing the right Heroes is essential for any event. For example, using the wrong formation in Arena can prevent you from ranking high, while poor Hero selection in Bear Hunt will significantly reduce your damage. The Brothers in Arms Event is no different. For leading an attack, use your Best Expedition Heroes. When joining a rally, choose a Hero with a first Expedition Skill that boosts Troop attack or lethality. For reinforcing, select a Hero with a first Expedition Skill that increases Troop defense or health.
- General PvP Tips – we have a whole guide on PvP for Beginners in Whiteout Survival, although these aren’t specific to Brothers in Arms, they are still a great assist in helping you fight better.
