The Treasure Hunter Event in Whiteout Survival is a fun little mini-game, much like the Fishing Tournament, which is good fun to tackle and pick up some nice rewards in the process. During the event, you use pickaxes to break ice and reveal hidden treasure. If you are lucky, you can get an extra special reward such as a large number of Chief Gear or Hero Gear materials. In this Whiteout Survival Treasure Hunter Guide, we take a closer look at this event and provide some tips on how you can get as much rare treasure as possible.

Chambers and Ultimate Treasure

On first entering the Whiteout Survival Treasure Hunter event you will begin on floor 1 in a Common Chamber. At the start of each floor, you are able to select an Ultimate Treasure that you are guaranteed to find. Once the Ultimate Treasure is found, you will move on to the next floor. The more attempts you make at searching for the Ultimate Treasure, the more likely you are to find it. However, even if you don’t find the Ultimate Treasure, you are guaranteed to find at least one of the following with each search:
- 100 Enhancement XP Component x1
- 5K Hero EXP x1
- 100 Gems x1
- 10K Meat x20
- 10K Wood x20
- 10K Coal x4
- 10K Iron x1
- Steel x200
- 5m General Speedup x1
- 5m Construction Speedup x1
- 5m Research Speedup x1
- 5m Training Speedup x1
Common
On floors that are a Common Chamber, you are guaranteed to find the Ultimate Treasure on your 14th search if you haven’t found it already. You are able to choose one of the following as your Ultimate Treasure on these floors:
- Lucky Hero Gear Chest x12
- Chief Gear Variety Chest x7
- Random Chief Charm Material Chest x7
- 1h General Speedup x25
- 8K Pet Food x1
Supreme
On floors that are a Supreme Chamber, you are guaranteed to find the Ultimate Treasure on your 22nd search if you haven’t found it already. Supreme Chambers are found on floor numbers that are multiples of 5 and you can choose one of the following as your Ultimate Treasure on these floors:
- Lucky Hero Gear Chest x24
- Chief Gear Variety Chest x14
- Random Chief Charm Material Chest x14
- 1h General Speedup x50
- 16K Pet Food x1
How to Get Pickaxes
Each search you make will cost 1 pickaxe. Therefore, to guarantee the Ultimate Treasure in a Common Chamber you could require up to 14 pickaxes, and 22 pickaxes if it’s a Supreme Chamber! In the next 2 sections of this Whiteout Survival Treasure Hunter Guide, we cover the main ways that you can accumulate this important resource.
Missions
Each day that the event is running, 4 missions can be completed in exchange for pickaxes. These are as follows:
- Call rally and hunt down 1 Polar Terror – Pickaxe x5
- Make 5 Alliance Contributions – Pickaxe x5
- Raise 30,000 Power by training/promoting troops – Pickaxe x6
- Make any purchase 1 time – Pickaxe x10
As a F2P player, there are 16 pickaxes available each day from missions. Therefore, you should be able to clear at least 1 Common Chamber per reset to claim your selected Ultimate Treasure. The event typically lasts for 3 days, giving you 3 guaranteed Ultimate Treasures via missions.
Packs
Unfortunately, the only other way to get pickaxes is with money. These range in cost with the most expensive ones giving you 240 pickaxes. Of course, this is really only sustainable for the Whales and whilst the packs don’t look that great on their own, there is a lot of added value from milestone and search rewards that are only made possible by purchasing these packs.
Total Treasure Search Rewards

In addition to the rewards outlined in the previous sections, there are also milestone rewards available based on the total number of floors you have cleared. These go all the way to 100 floors and are as follows:
| Floors | Reward |
|---|---|
| 5 | Mythic General Hero Shard x10 |
| 10 | Lucky Hero Gear Chest x20 |
| 15 | Mythic General Hero Shard x20 |
| 20 | 100 Enhancement XP Component x100 |
| 25 | Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest x1 |
| 30 | Essence Stones x50 |
| 35 | Lucky Hero Gear Chest x60 |
| 40 | 100 Enhancement XP Component x100 |
| 45 | Mythic General Hero Shard x20 |
| 50 | Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest x1 |
| 55 | Essence Stones x50 |
| 60 | Lucky Hero Gear Chest x60 |
| 65 | 100 Enhancement XP Component x100 |
| 70 | Mythic General Hero Shard x20 |
| 75 | Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest x1 |
| 80 | Essence Stones x50 |
| 85 | Lucky Hero Gear Chest x60 |
| 90 | 100 Enhancement XP Component x100 |
| 95 | Mythic General Hero Shard x20 |
| 100 | Custom Mythic Hero Gear Chest x1 |
Tips
- As a F2P player, you need to ensure you are completing the 3 free missions every day. With a bit of luck, this can help you clear 5 floors for some pretty decent rewards.
- If you are willing to spend a little, buy the cheapest pack from the Daily Deals to clear the final mission for an extra 10 pickaxes daily. This will guarantee that you clear 5 floors and maybe beyond with a bit of luck.
- When selecting your Ultimate Treasure, there is some debate as to what the best choices are. However, in our opinion, it is best to always pick the Chief Charm Chest. These are generally a little harder to accumulate but offer great buffs when upgraded. If you change your mind, you can change your Ultimate Treasure at any time with no penalty.
