PlayStation Plus March 2021: Bonus 5th Game

PlayStation Plus March 2021

Sony have just announced all the games that will be available for PlayStation Plus members throughout March 2021. It is a bumper month that includes five games instead of the usual three! Here at OneChilledGamer we are particularly excited, as it includes one of the games we included in our post on the Best PS4 Game Remasters of 2020. Keep reading to get all the details on the March 2021 PlayStation Plus games.

Farpoint takes place on a hostile alien world, where the player must survive and find a way to escape. Gameplay takes place in first person with an open world format. Although optimised for the PlayStation VR Aim Controller, the game is also playable with a standard PlayStation Dualshock controller. However, if you want the full experience, you can pick up a VR Aim controller here in some great bundles. Check out the trailer below for the VR entry in the March 2021 PlayStation Plus deal.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

This entrant in the PlayStation Plus March 2021 games list is a remaster of the original that launched in 1993. Set in a dystopian cyberpunk universe, players take control of a mercenary and try to stop the megacorporation from destroying the world. This remaster also featured in the OneChilledGamer’s list of the Best PS4 Game Remasters of 2020. Unfortunately, this version will only be playable on the PS4. If you want the PS5 version you’ll need to buy it separately and which will not be available until 10 June 2021.

Remnant: From the Ashes

A part of the ever-popular apocalypse survival genre, in this game, you play as one of Earth’s survivors, battling to rid the planet of invading monstrous aliens. Games are procedurally generated every time you launch a new game, and you can also team up with two others to try and defeat the invading aliens whilst also scavenging to survive. Remnant: From the Ashes is another of the PS4 entrants in March 2021’s PlayStation Plus games roster.

This is the PS5 entrant in the PlayStation Plus March 2021 line-up. Maquette is a first person puzzle game where every building is its own world that shows a smaller version of the world outside the building. This allows a player to interact with the smaller world in different ways than would otherwise be possible in the larger world. It is all quite complex but looks lots of fun. The trailer below gives a great explanation of how it all works. Maquette really is unique and guaranteed to keep occupied for many hours.

Destruction AllStars

Destruction AllStars is a surprise entrant this month, that is carried over from last month, and represents the second PS5 game in March 2021’s PlayStation Plus roster. It is a vehicular combat game where players compete online to be the last vehicle standing across four different game modes. Check out the trailer below.
