SWGoH Beginners Leveling Guide

For new players to Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes (SWGoH) it can be a difficult decision to decide which characters to focus on and start leveling. In this SWGoH Beginners Leveling Guide, we will hopefully make that decision easier for you. We will highlight a key leveling strategy to focus on and some of the best characters you will want to develop.

Focus on a Few Characters

Focusing on a few characters is an important strategy to consider in this SWGoH Beginners Leveling Guide. When starting the game, it can be tempting to accumulate as many characters as possible, feeding your inner SW fan desires… It’s a trap!

This approach can be counterproductive and can slow down your progress in the game. By focusing on a few characters, you can level them up faster and use them to complete objectives and earn rewards that will help you unlock more characters and gear. The advantages of this approach are highlighted in the following sections.

Farming

SWGoH Sgard Farming

Farming is the process of obtaining shards, gear, and other resources needed to level up characters. You can farm shards and gear by completing battles, challenges, and events.

Some characters are only available through farming and it will take a lot of energy to accumulate their shards. As such, it’s important to prioritize farming only a few specific those characters if you want to use them in your squad.

Gear

Gear is essential for leveling up characters. Each character has different gear requirements, and some gear can only be obtained through special events or by spending crystals. Focusing on just a few characters allows you to prioritize gear for those select few.

Training Droids

SWGoH Training Droids

Training droids are used to level up characters. There are different types of training droids, ranging from small to large. You can obtain training droids by completing battles and challenges, or by purchasing them in the store. As you level your characters higher and higher, these will quickly become a scarce commodity.

Credits

Like Training Droids, Credits are used to level up characters and are required for each level. You can obtain credits by completing battles and challenges, or by selling unwanted gear and training droids. Again, Credits will quickly become scarce as you level characters. Focusing on just a few will help you out a lot here.

For beginners, focusing on leveling just a few characters is a strategy that will help you progress faster in SWGoH versus a scattergun approach. By choosing a few key characters and leveling them up, you can build a better squad composition and complete battles and objectives more effectively.

When choosing which characters to focus on, consider their role in the squad, synergy with other characters, availability and accessibility, and personal preference. Once you have chosen which characters to focus on, prioritize farming, gear, training droids, and credits to level them up, and hopefully ensure you have the high ground.
