Is Captain Rex Good in SWGoH

Captain Rex proves to be a valuable addition to SWGoH, offering players a versatile and impactful character. It’s easy to get Captain Rex through “The Lost Commander” event. Even without being at 7 stars, Captain Rex’s skills make a significant impact, particularly in transforming the Phoenix Squad into one of the game’s top teams without relying on legendary characters.

The versatility of Captain Rex allows players to utilize him in various SWGoH events. Additionally, his unique abilities provide bonus effects in the Grand Arena, further solidifying his value in this game mode, particularly in the 3v3 format.

When accompanied by Clone Trooper allies, Captain Rex’s attacks have a chance to dispel buffs from the targeted enemy while inflicting Armor Shred. His unique ability provides crucial support to Clone Trooper allies. When a Clone Trooper ally’s Health drops below 50%, they receive a substantial recovery of Health and Protection, along with a boost in Defense and Tenacity for 2 turns.

By leveraging his unique capabilities in 3v3 battles, players can unleash the full potential of Captain Rex and his Clone Trooper comrades, leading them to victory in the Grand Arena.

Captain Rex Best Mods

The optimal Mod Set for Captain Rex in SWGoH is Speed (4) and Potency (2). This setup maximizes his speed and debuff application, allowing him to control the battlefield. With this mod set, Captain Rex swiftly takes turns, applies debuffs like Tenacity Down, Daze, and Offense Down to enemies, and boosts the turn meter for Clone Trooper and Phoenix allies.

When not with the Phoenix Squad, a viable alternative is Speed (4) and Crit Chance (2). This mod configuration enhances Captain Rex’s critical hits, synergizing with his ability to provide extra effects to allies on critical hits. Increased crit chance enables more frequent health and protection recovery for allies while dealing significant damage to enemy teams.

Best Captain Rex Team in SWGoH

The best team to maximize Captain Rex’s potential in Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes is the Phoenix Squadron. Led by Hera Syndulla and supported by Chopper, this team synergizes well with Captain Rex’s abilities. However, the remaining slots on the team can be flexible based on the player’s preferences and strategy.

Two notable members of the team are Sabine and Zeb, who bring valuable skills and abilities to enhance the squad’s performance. Sabine’s presence increases the team’s critical chance, allowing Captain Rex to capitalize on his synergistic effects when scoring critical hits.

On the other hand, Zeb’s unique ability grants protection, while his basic attack staggers or stuns enemies. Captain Rex’s unique ability triggers consecutive Zeb attacks with Phoenix special abilities, creating a relentless synchronized assault.

In Grand Arena battles, Captain Rex can be paired with Commander Cody and Clone Sergeant Phase I, thanks to their Clone Trooper synergies. This combination opens up new possibilities and synergistic strategies, granting your team additional advantages in the heat of battle.
