Best Healers in Genshin Impact

At its core, Genshin Impact is a team-building game. Whether considering who to wish for, or which Characters to put in a team together, players should strike a balance between Support and Damage Dealer roles. In this guide, we will examine the Best Healers in Genshin Impact, what makes each one effective, and what types of reactions and teams they can support.

Genshin Impact’s Best Healers

Healers are a powerful type of Support that can help any team sustain through challenging combat, especially multiple floors of Spiral Abyss. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the Best Healers in Genshin Impact from the weakest to the strongest.

11. Dori

Genshin Impact Best Healers - Dori

An Electro 4-star who offers healing based on her Max HP as well as Energy Regeneration from her Burst. However, the character will be affected by Electro, opening up the player to the risk of enemies triggering Electro-based reactions.

In general, her kit is very unique and can be a fun novelty, but compared to Kuki, she’s far less able to trigger Hyperbloom, so she solely plays as a Healer, outclassed by other Electro characters for Elemental Reactions.

10. Noelle

Available from the Beginners’ wish banner, she is likely the first Healer and Shielder most players will have access to and can fulfill that niche early in an account’s progression. However, her healing values, while scaling off her most favored stat DEF, are small relative to other Healers.

Indeed, as you progress, her healing will feel more like residual sustainability for Noelle in a damage-dealing build instead. Geo is also the least reactive element, and once players have her 6th constellation she’s better used as an on-field Geo DPS.

9. Qiqi

Genshin Impact Best Healers - Qiqi

Qiqi is a Standard Banner Cryo 5-star Healer, who is arguably outperformed by her 4-star Cryo Healer counterpart, Diona. Qiqi’s healing scales off ATK, but her Special Ascension Stat is Healing Bonus.

While it will still improve her healing abilities, she doesn’t build up enough ATK nor does she have much in her talents to make her a worthwhile damage dealer at the same time. As such, she ends up being pretty much just a Cryo Healer while Diona is more accessible and comes with both healing and shields.

8. Barbara

A Hydro 4-star, who can sort of work in some of the teams where Kokomi does, but generally applies less Hydro and forces the player to be closer to the enemies to do so. Barbara is a Catalyst user and can carry Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers for the ATK buff. She’s also permanently available for free to players who clear the Archon Quest Prologue, so pretty much everybody has her available if they really need a Hydro Healer.

7. Yaoyao

Genshin Impact Best Healers - Yaoyao

Yaoyao is a Dendro 4-star and can be used for all of the new Dendro-based reactions, but she does not apply enough Dendro to be the sole Dendro character on the team. Therefore, she should be used alongside another Dendro character. As a result, many teams that could use her are currently better suited to using Kokomi or Kuki instead.

6. Sayu

An Anemo 4-star who is generally comparable to Jean with a healing field in her Burst. What makes Sayu truly unique, however, is her Elemental Skill which allows her to roll over the terrain at high speeds for a respectable duration. That makes her one of the best Genshin Impact Characters for exploring the world quickly and efficiently, but her combat prowess is less inspiring than the Healers coming after her on this list.

5. Jean

Genshin Impact Best Healers - Jean

Jean is a Standard Wish Anemo 5-star, so there’s no way to guarantee to receive her, but long-term players are likely to get her eventually. She has excellent Anemo particle generation for Xiao or Wanderer, and her burst heals upfront and creates a healing field.

She can carry Viridescent Venerer artifacts to debuff enemy resistances. However unlike Kazuha or Venti, she has a far weaker vacuum draw-in effect on her skill that just does not fulfill the same purpose, but the knock-back can be great near a cliff!

4. Diona

A Cryo 4-star Healer and Shielder, offering possible access to Cryo resonance to support Cryo teams, especially Freeze, but with Kokomi’s hydro application, if she’s available, the team wouldn’t need another healer so a more offensive Cryo support will usually be chosen. Still, she has access to both healing and shields, and her burst’s healing amounts can be truly massive. Excellent vs. Azhdaha

3. Kuki Shinobu

Genshin Impact Best Healers - Kuki Shinobu

An Electro 4-star Healer with a very potent Elemental Skill in Sanctifying Ring. While it costs her 30% of her HP per use, its wide reach is excellent for triggering Dendro Cores in the Hyperbloom reaction. In a Hyperbloom team, she only needs to be built in Elemental Mastery, with HP% as a distant secondary priority for some of her scalings.

The downside of Kuki Shinobu would be that as she receives nearly no field time, she is consistently consuming HP without receiving any of her own healing. As such, she can become a liability if players aren’t careful about when to swap to her and reset the Elemental Skill.

In the Hyperbloom niche, she’s very powerful and easy to build, and with a few adjustments, she can be used in Aggravate or possibly other elemental reactions as well. With such great versatility, she is easily one of the Best Healers in Genshin Impact.

2. Sangonomiya Kokomi

As a limited banner 5-star Hydro character, she’s not the easiest to acquire but Hydro is one of the game’s most reactive elements and Kokomi has extremely effective hydro application and works exceptionally in Freeze teams. She is also very effective with Dendro reactions, like Hyperbloom, and even in Nilou Bloom teams.

While a downside is her innate -100% Crit Rate, this really just incentivizes players to further invest in her HP% scalings as well as Healing Bonus artifacts to boost her healing throughput. As a Catalyst user, she’s also able to carry Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayers to provide an ATK bonus to the team’s damage dealer.

1. Bennett

Genshin Impact Best Healers - Bennett

A Pyro 4-star Healer and buffer who has long been considered one of the best Supports in the game. His Elemental Burst, Fantastic Voyage, grants healing and an ATK buff to active characters standing in it, and his skill’s low cooldown provides an option for shield breaking.

With his 6th constellation, he also provides a buff to Pyro DMG units, as well as a Pyro infusion to characters who wield swords, claymores, or polearms. This can mess up some teams, such as in the case of Eula, but there are plenty of options to build teams without him for the Characters who prefer to avoid this constellation.

Pyro is one of the most reactive elements and features plenty of damage dealers to pair him with for an additional ATK boost from the Pyro resonance. This all works towards making him easily one of the Best Healers in Genshin Impact.

Time to Heal Teyvat

Healers are one of Genshin Impact’s most important types of Support Characters. Having a wide array of Healers of different elements offers loads of team-building flexibility to players looking to survive Teyvat, especially in the Spiral Abyss.
