Genshin Impact Tips and Tricks for Beginners

Genshin Impact came out in 2020, and its popularity has skyrocketed as of late. Players are drawn in by the game’s eye-catching graphics, exciting gameplay, and a captivating plot. These Genshin Impact Tips and Tricks will give you a great headstart.

Genshin Impact Tips and Tricks

Although it may look simple, Genshin Impact is actually rather challenging. However, we’re here to give you some of the most helpful in-game tips. These tips and suggestions will help you better understand this epic action RPG.

So, without further ado, let’s get right to it!

Pick up anything you Can

As you go around, you’re bound to notice tons of items. You have a 2,000-item inventory limit, so grab whatever you can. Flowers, food ingredients, and other seemingly pointless items can be crafted into a wide variety of products that will benefit your characters later on.

Flowers and some other ascension materials only return after a specific number of days. You wouldn’t want to be in a state where you have to wait real-world time to advance your characters, would you? So, grab a lot of resources while you can!

Participate in Events

Genshin Impact Events

Genshin Impact constantly updates its material, giving players a wide variety of options to enjoy. The designers provide a plethora of weekly events to participate in. Keep an eye out for events as much as possible, as this will help in your character development.

Complete certain events, and you can gain access to powerful new characters or weapons. It’s also worth noting that some of the playable characters and weapons can be obtained without spending any money. So, finish the new events as quickly as you can!

This is possibly one of the most important Genshin Impact Tips and Tricks for Beginners we can give. It will ensure you are getting all the available items to you which will be a huge befit in the long run.

Complete the Daily Commissions

Upon reaching Adventure rank 12, players gain access to Katheryne from the adventurers’ guild in Mondstadt. Players can easily earn up to four daily commissions from her, each with its own unique reward.

If you complete all four, you can then speak with Katheryne for an additional bonus. Once a player reaches level 12, they should do this as often as possible. These give you the experience and resources you need to advance in the game.

Play Genshin Impact with a Controller

Backbone One Mobile Controller

Using a controller to play Genshin Impact on your mobile can really improve the experience. No more annoying touch controls with the full comfort of a well-designed gamepad.

Unfortunately, support for this feature is a bit tricky on Android, but if you are on iOS then you are in luck. Check out our Backbone One Review for what we feel is the best iOS mobile controller available right now.

Max out on the Battle Pass

When you reach level 20 in Genshin Impact, you gain access to one of the game’s best features: the Battle Pass! There is a free version and a paid version, and both of them are quite beneficial. Additionally, Genshin Impact offers weekly and daily objectives that award Battle Pass XP, allowing players to rank up easily.

Each level of the Battle Pass offers progressively more valuable rewards, like Mora, Primogems, and even Fates. With this in mind, you may want to consider completing the entire thing.

Make use of the Statues of Seven

Genshin Impact Statues of Seven

Eating will restore your party’s health and strength, but you’ll need to keep an eye on your supplies or you might run out fast. Teleporting back to any of the Seven Statues between battles is a great idea. These are enormous statues where you can power up your character by gifting Amenoculus, Electroculus, and Geoculus.

As soon as you get close to them, they’ll start healing and reviving your party members. You can also use the statue’s “Blessing” option to heal your party members manually. Although the statue’s healing capacity decreases as more people use it, it replenishes itself pretty quickly. So, you have nothing to worry about.

Pay Attention to Achievements

Genshin Impact Achievements

The main menu provides access to a number of milestones. Achievements are useful since they reward players with 5 or more Primogems upon completion.

While most will be accomplished as you advance through the plot or complete random objectives, it is still a good idea to check in on them regularly, in order to finish any that might have been neglected. There are also several secret achievements, which are merely one of the game’s neglected features that most players miss out on.

“Be Careful what you Wish For”

Wishing is Genshin Impact’s gacha feature, letting you obtain rare weapons and characters in exchange for premium gold. Every player has access to 10 wishes; you can either use them all at once or one at a time.

The only advantage of using 10 wishes at once is that it is faster. The gacha banners promise that players will receive at least one 4-star or higher item for every 10 wishes they make. Even if you acquire a 4-star item on your first or second wish, the number of wishes required to get another 4-star item will reset to 10.

With that in mind, if you’re trying to get a specific character and you only have a few wishes to spend, it’s best to draw one at a time until you obtain them, rather than to use all of your wishes at once.

Upgrade your Arsenal

Genshin Impact Dull Blade

Five-star Weapons are notoriously difficult to obtain, and you’re unlikely to find them anytime soon. However, this does not stop you from working effectively with lower-grade weaponry. If you want a five-star character or weapon, ensure you save as many Primogems as you can.

Try to make do with lower-grade weapons and improve them as much as possible until you reach the mid-tier ranks in-game. This is a great way to avoid spending any unnecessary Primogems while still providing a solid safety net. Some weapons can be upgraded to deal up to 50% greater damage than their initial stats.

You have to admit, that’s not too bad, right

Build a Versatile Team

Genshin Impact’s battle system is element-based. By combining two elements, you can increase the harm done to an opponent or create an entirely new effect. Because of these factors in battle, it’s important to build a versatile team. You can take control of battles with elemental explosions by switching between characters and making use of their powers.

However, there are also scenarios when it’s beneficial to have a large number of identical characters on your team. In Elemental Resonance, you gain an advantage when you focus on a single element or spread it across multiple choices. Having four distinct elements will increase your elemental resistance.

On the other hand, you will receive a consistent 25% damage boost if you have two Pyro characters. The results of combining different elements can vary widely, so it’s up to you to experiment and find what works best for you.
