In this Clash Royale Guide, we will be looking at the classic Goblins card that has been an iconic troop in the Clash Royale world. Are Goblins Good in Clash Royale?

The Goblins card is of Common rarity and can be unlocked at the Goblin Stadium (Arena 1) alongside other Goblin cards. When used, it deploys 4 Goblins that can be used as a distraction to a number of troops, or to take down a dangerous low elixir troop. These goblins run fast, have relatively higher health compared to the Skeletons, and also boast much better strength than the latter.
Goblins cost just 2 Elixir and can fit in any deck that requires a cheap defensive unit such as the Best Decks Under 3.0 Elixir. Although they won’t do much damage to the attacker, when placed directly in front of the tower, they will draw the damage away, allowing your tower to pick off the enemy or giving you time to prepare a better defense. In addition, they can be used to push slower units faster in their lane.

Clash Royale Goblins Tips
Next in this Clash Royale Goblins Guide let’s take a look at some tips and strategies you can implement to make the most of this card.
- Push allies faster: Owing to the fast movement of Goblins, you can use this trait to your advantage by deploying them behind a slowly moving card. This way, the Goblins push the slowly-moving troop to move faster than its default speed. This tactic comes in very handy in decks with troops such as Giant, Golem, and similar heavy cards.
- Distraction Tool: Goblins can be split by placing them at the low center, right in between the two crown towers. Once the Goblins are deployed, the incoming troop (Knight for example) would then move towards the Goblins that are split to his side. As soon as they are down, the Knight would then move towards the other 2 Goblins. This way, not only will the Knight be pushed to the middle, but will also get targeted by both towers.
- Tackle fast movers: The Goblins are great counters to fast movers. These include Prince, Dark Prince, Hog Rider, Battle Ram, Lumberjack, and many others. The above-mentioned tip is highly recommended if you are up against any of the Princes and other similar troops, but when it comes to the tower-targeting cards, deploy the Goblins right in front of the incoming troop to take it down at the earliest moment.
