Is Laudon a good general in Evony?

Laudon should primarily be used as a Mounted PvP General due to his Special Skill, Silesian Wars, which buffs Mounted Troop attack, defense, and HP. Although he does fall behind other top options for Mounted PvP in terms of attack due to not being able to have a Mounted Attack Skill Book applied, he makes up for this with a higher-than-average HP and defense. This also makes him a good Mounted Defense General.

He can also be used as a Monster Hunting General, however in this case there are many better options. In this role, a high attack stat is of paramount importance, and, as mentioned earlier, he does lack a little in this area.

Laudon – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Silesian Wars

Increases mounted troops’ attack by 40% and mounted troops’ defense and HP by 15% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Laudon will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +5%, Defense and HP +5%.
• 2 Star – Marching Troop Death into Wounded Rate +10%.
• 3 Star – March Size Capacity +14%.
• 4 Star – Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +10% and Defense +20%.
• 5 Star – Mounted Troop Attack +25%, Mounted Troop Defense and HP +10%.

Laudon – Specialities

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack and mounted HP via equipment refines and skill books.

This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop HP Against Monster – Mounted Troop HP Against Monster +45%
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the HP against monster skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double item drop rate.

This will of course increase your losses against high-level bosses. However, the double drops are good compensation.

• Lvl 4 Luck – Double Items Drop Rate +18%
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher mounted buff.

Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and mounted HP for a mounted PvP march.
