Best Ramp Up Decks in Clash Royale

Clash Royale features a plethora of game modes to choose from with each new season featuring a special challenge. One of these is the Ramp Up game mode which increases the elixir regeneration speed every minute that a game lasts. This can get super chaotic the longer a game goes on and requires a well-thought-out deck to ensure you can take advantage of the increased elixir toward the end of a match. Don’t worry though. we’ve got you covered, in this Clash Royale Guide, we take a look at some of the Best Decks for Ramp Up.

Don’t mistake the Best Ramp Up Decks as being similar to the Best Double Elixir Decks, these are both quite different challenges. Double Elixir matches allow you to take on heavy decks whilst the Best Ramp Up Decks are more of a mix between the Best Fast Decks for the early game and the Best Decks Over 4.0 Elixir for the late game. Hitting this sweet spot is key to dominating in this Clash Royale game mode.

Double Elixir Loon Freeze (Average Elixir: 4.0)

The Lumberjack-Balloon and Balloon-Freeze combo have always been threatening, but with this deck featuring all 3 cards, it creates a deck with an extremely aggressive approach. This deck is for those air attackers who love to see a circle of raged troops charging and knocking off the utmost damage from enemy towers. See the table below for all the cards that make up this deck, along with their Elixir cost, and what arena level they become unlocked at.

CardElixirArena
Balloon57
Lumberjack414
Bowler513
Electro Dragon512
Inferno Dragon411
Barbarian Barrel29
Freeze48
Tornado315

With regards to the deck’s offensive strategies, the Balloon-Lumberjack combo should be deadly enough. However, you can additionally use the Electro Dragon or the Freeze spell to cover the Balloon and speed its way towards the tower. While you are defending, make use of the Bowler to take down any ground troops; he is a one-man army. If you come across a Sparky, the Electro Dragon should be sufficient to electrify it into oblivion. The Inferno Dragon will be quite handy when facing a set of heavy troops.

The downside to this deck, however, would be the lack of ground troops. Indeed, if the opponent has a deck partially or completely stacked with ground troops, you will ne in for a really tough time. Nevertheless, applying constant pressure on your opponent can mean that they will waste all their elixir on defending against your offense allowing you to eventually push through.

P.E.K.K.A Zap Bridge Spam (Average Elixir: 3.9)

Magic Archer in the Best Clash Royale P.E.K.K.A Zap Bridge Spam Deck for Ramp Up

The P.E.K.K.A Bridge Spam deck is widely regarded amongst the Best Clash Royale Decks for Ramp Up due to its double-side pressure that helps you to catch your opponent off-guard. This version of the bridge spam deck does not have any major variations, but the addition of Zap allows you to have that power reset option against Sparky, Mighty Miner, and other cards that deal damage over time. See the table below for all the cards that make up this deck, along with their Elixir cost, and what arena level they become unlocked at.

CardElixirArena
P.E.K.K.A76
Royal Ghost312
Magic Archer413
Battle Ram43
Bandit313
Electro Wizard411
Fireball4N/A
Zap25

Just like the other variations of the bridge spam deck, the offensive technique of this deck is to apply pressure on both lanes simultaneously. Using the P.E.K.K.A as a tank for a push from one lane and a quick Bandit or Battle Ram on the other is the ideal style of playing this deck. The Magic Archer can chip damage away from towers from afar – take advantage of this tactic by allowing the opponent troop to align in front of the tower.

The disadvantage to this deck is the lack of air support meaning any air-oriented deck is a huge threat. To counter this, you will have to take certain risks. This includes allowing one side of your tower to take damage from a potential air push from the opponent. Instead of draining your elixir on defending that attack, spend it on building a second push from a lane after pushing from another lane. This builds pressure on the opponent and they will be helpless due to already having drained their elixir on the air attack.

Royal Recruits Fireball Bait (Average Elixir: 3.9)

The Royal Recruits Fireball Bait deck follows a two-lane strategy that allows you to push through both lanes at the same time. By splitting the Royal Recruits and the Royal Hogs, you are assured to have dealt a significant amount of damage to either one or both towers in most cases. The deck also consists of the Goblin Cage, a building that acts as a distraction to tower hitters such as the Hog Rider, Battle Ram, etc. This is easily one of my favorite decks to utilize in the Clash Royale Ramp Up game mode. See the table below for all the cards that make up this deck, along with their Elixir cost, and what arena level they become unlocked at.

CardElixirArena
Royal Recruits77
Royal Hogs57
Flying Machine45
Zappies410
Electro Spirit14
Goblin Cage41
Barbarian Barrel29
Fireball4N/A

To run this deck perfectly, you must aim to apply pressure on both towers simultaneously. As mentioned above, splitting both the Royal Recruits and Royal Hogs allows you to force the opponent to drain every bit of elixir they have to have a chance of defending successfully. The momentum gained after this will help you swerve into the lane where you have seen the best breakthrough. The Zappies are quite underrated in Clash Royale as they can potentially play a vital role in defending your towers for example by resetting the Inferno Dragon’s damage over time, preventing the Sparky from charging a hit, etc.

The Flying Machine, on the other hand, is a powerful machine that can be of huge threat to the enemy towers if left unnoticed. Pair this up with the split strategy to add more fuel to the fire. It also contributes to defense by clearing off any air troops that come its way, along with the support given by the Zappies. If a big push is approaching, make use of either of these two cards according to the situation, followed by the Royal Recruits to cover the backend support troops. After the counter, push the other lane with the help of the Royal Recruits who are already on their way towards the tower.
