The meta of Clash Royale is always changing with decks constantly falling in and out of favor depending on a player’s playstyle and on the cards available in the game. For players who enjoy Fast Cycle Decks, but perhaps want to experiment with slightly more durable compositions then a deck around 4.0 Elixir can be a good option. As such, here we take a look at the Best Decks for Under 4.0 Elixir in Clash Royale.
Splashyard with Mega Knight (4.0 Elixir)

The Splashyard Deck is named as such if it contains a heavy card and a Graveyard. The heavy card distracts enemy towers and units whilst the Graveyard gets to work on destroying them. You’ll often see the Giant used as the heavy card for these decks, but here we take a look at a slightly different composition that uses the Mega Knight to see it comfortably in this list of the Best Clash Royale Decks Under 4.0 Elixir.
Card | Elixir | Arena |
---|---|---|
Mega Knight | 7 | 11 |
Baby Dragon | 4 | 6 |
Electro Wizard | 4 | 11 |
Graveyard | 5 | 12 |
Goblins | 2 | 1 |
Knight | 3 | N/A |
Poison | 4 | 9 |
Tornado | 3 | 15 |
With this deck, the strategy is based on forming aggressive pushes using Mega Knight and holding firm control over the lane you push from. The Baby Dragon has low stats if it goes head-to-head with a tower, but it excels as a support unit that can chip a fair amount of damage away when the tower is engaged with another unit.
To master this deck, you need to place the Mega Knight at the back, wait for your Elixir to be filled, and then deploy the Graveyard and Baby Dragon. This push is assured to get you a Crown unless the Mega Knight is well countered. Moreover, you can use Poison to cause area damage around the tower to eliminate the close-range troops that try to eliminate the Skeletons coming out from the Graveyard.
For defense, the Mega Knight is an efficient card that can ruin any incoming ground push comfortably. Although the deck does lack in terms of air defense, the Baby Dragon, Electro Wizard, and Tornado should be sufficient to counter most air attacks if used correctly.
Phoenix Mortar Bait (3.5 Elixir)
This deck focuses on taking the enemy by surprise with unexpected pushes using the Miner and gaining momentum with the Mortar backed by the Skeleton King and others. Indeed, battling against one of these decks it is easy to see why it makes this list of the Best Clash Royale Decks Under 4.0 Elixir. See the table below for all the cards that make up this deck, along with their Elixir cost, and what arena level they become unlocked at.
Card | Elixir | Arena |
---|---|---|
Phoenix | 4 | 12 |
Skeleton King | 4 | 16 |
Skeleton Army | 3 | 6 |
Mortar | 4 | 5 |
Goblin Gang | 3 | 9 |
Dart Goblin | 3 | 9 |
Miner | 3 | 11 |
Fireball | 4 | N/A |
The Phoenix Mortar Deck is quite cheap compared to other decks on this list, meaning you can consider using this deck if you prefer something a bit faster cycling or prefer to have a balanced deck that is towards the cheaper side. However, despite its cheap cost, this deck does require some practice to master rather than just cycling as fast as possible, timing is key!
Indeed, it requires you to throw everything at the enemy when they are least prepared. Counter pushes are the best time to perform this as that is when the enemy is usually at an Elixir disadvantage. Playing the Skeleton King and Phoenix together at these moments is highly effective at getting the push rolling toward the enemy tower.
In reserve, you can use Skeleton Army to prevent the Hog Rider and other such cards from nearing your tower. The Dart Goblin is one of the best counters to Graveyard and also a great support. Deploy the Mortar in such a way that it hits either of the towers and use the support cards to protect it. Mortar also has an Evolution which will improve the overall attacking ability of the deck.
Infinite Elixir Rocket Nado (4.0 Elixir)
Infinite Elixir Golem decks have a staggering success rate in Clash Royale and the Infinite Elixir Rocket Nado deck is no different as it features all 3 win conditions of a typical Elixir Golem deck – the Elixir Golem, Battle Healer, and the Electro Dragon. See the table below for all the cards that make up this deck, along with their Elixir cost, and what arena level they become unlocked at.
Card | Elixir | Arena |
---|---|---|
Elixir Golem | 4 | 14 |
Electro Dragon | 5 | 12 |
Battle Healer | 4 | 8 |
Night Witch | 4 | 14 |
Dark Prince | 4 | 7 |
Firecracker | 3 | 12 |
Rocket | 6 | 5 |
Tornado | 3 | 15 |
To master this deck, you must follow a similar tactic to the Golem’s hard-push strategy. At the far back, place the Battle Healer and wait for your Elixir bar to refill. Deploy the Elixir Golem and Electro Dragon near the front and prepare for a massive push.
The enemy might end up with an Elixir advantage over you due to the Elixir Golem’s elixir leak but do not allow them to swarm the arena. Apply constant pressure to the same lane until the tower is down and save up more Elixir to proceed to the next lane.
In defense, the Battle Healer acts as the secondary tank, next to the Elixir Golem by distributing healing to her nearby allies every time she hits, just make sure she has some support! Use the Dark Prince and Firecracker to eliminate any swarm units that come your way. Needless to say, this deck features cards for all-round performance and versatility.
P.E.K.K.A Zap Bridge Spam (3.9 Elixir)

Bridge Spam decks are extremely popular due to their ability to create pressure on both lanes simultaneously. Though averaging a tad high at 3.9 Elixir, you would not realize it when in battle due to the amount of pressure applied by your units to the enemy’s towers. See the table below for all the cards that make up this deck, along with their Elixir cost, and what arena level they become unlocked at.
Card | Elixir | Arena |
---|---|---|
P.E.K.K.A | 7 | 6 |
Battle Ram | 4 | 3 |
Electro Wizard | 4 | 11 |
Magic Archer | 4 | 13 |
Royal Ghost | 3 | 12 |
Bandit | 3 | 13 |
Fireball | 4 | N/A |
Zap | 2 | 5 |
Your motive with this deck is to push both lanes – one at a time. For instance, start with P.E.K.K.A on the left lane alongside a support card. Once the enemy drains their elixir countering this, place a Battle Ram and Royal Ghost on the other lane.
At this point, the enemy should be at an Elixir disadvantage and will have no option but to take some damage to their towers whilst replenishing their Elixir. Perform the same trick again but the other way around, i.e., P.E.K.K.A on the right lane and a second push on the left lane after the enemy drains their Elixir. You can perform this trick until either of the towers is extremely low on health before finishing them off.
For defense, make use of the Fireball if and when needed. Use the Royal Ghost to take down ground troops, assisted by the Electro Wizard or Magic Archer. For extreme defense against heavy pushes, use P.E.K.K.A along with some support units. Battling against this deck is extremely tiring for an opponent as they must remain highly focused. This easily makes it one of the Best Decks for Under 4.0 Elixir in Clash Royale.
Log Bait (3.3 Elixir)
The Log Bait deck is a long-standing deck that is still widely used due to its simplicity of spamming cards. There is no specific pattern to follow while using the Log Bait deck but despite this, it still boasts a staggering success rate and remains one of the Best Clash Royale Decks Under 4.0 Elixir. See the table below for all the cards that make up this deck, along with their Elixir cost, and what arena level they become unlocked at.
Card | Elixir | Arena |
---|---|---|
Log | 2 | 11 |
Princess | 3 | 11 |
Goblin Gang | 3 | 9 |
Goblin Barrel | 3 | 6 |
Knight | 3 | N/A |
Ice Spirit | 1 | 8 |
Rocket | 6 | 5 |
Inferno Tower | 5 | 4 |
Your task with the Log Bait deck is to cycle the low-hitpoint cards as many times as possible. As you keep deploying them, the opponent is left with no choice but to push a lane before you chip away too much health from their towers. If the opponent holds a heavy card, use the Inferno Tower along with some backup units to engage with the opponent’s support units.
When the match is in Double Elixir you must start spamming your Rocket spell on the tower by repeatedly rotating your cards. Keep in mind that the opponent will wait for you to drain your elixir to start a push, so, be prepared for anything coming your way after you deploy a 6 Elixir Rocket.
