In King’s Choice, the Patrol mechanic sees players explore a map by using Stamina to search for rewards such as Gold, Resources, Attribute Books, and more. Indeed, this is a key way to find and improve certain Lovers such as Lady Godiva. Moving
In Patrol, you must consume Stamina to explore the map. Each time you move to a new location you will be greeted by a random event that may grant you a reward. You can either move manually by selecting the arrows to move in a specific direction on the map or by using Quick Patrol which will consume all your Stamina and move at random. Once you are out of Stamina you can either wait for new Stamina to generate or use Wine items to restore it fully.
Fortune
Alongside Stamina, Fortune is the other most important factor when it comes to going on Patrol. The higher your Fortune is, the more likely you are to find rewards when exploring. The maximum Fortune you can have is 100 and each time you move you will lose 2. This can be replenished by using Silver, Grain, Gold, and Fortune Elixirs. Each time you use one of these methods you regain 2 Fortune. Alternatively, you can wait for your Fortune to regain over time.
Rewards
As mentioned in the previous section, whenever you move to a new location on the Map you will trigger an event that may grant you a reward. However, this is not guaranteed and it should also be noted that whenever you move to a location that you have already visited nothing will happen and you will not receive a reward. As such, Manual movement is probably the best way to move as it can ensure you don’t visit the same place twice in one day. The day resets after 12 moves with you again allowed to visit each location again for a chance at a reward.
Meetings with Lovers are the most sought-after rewards in Patrol as this can unlock them if you don’t already have them or increase your Intimacy with them. In addition to Lovers, you can also expect to find the following rewards:
- Troops
- Silver
- Grain
- Edict Shards
- Attribute Books
- Stamina
- Gold
- Gift Boxes
Lovers
As mentioned above, certain King’s Choice Lovers can be unlocked via the Patrol function if you meet them on the map. However, to unlock them, you must meet them a certain amount of times depending on who the Lover is. All the Lovers you can unlock via Patrol and the corresponding number of times you must meet them to do so are outlined in the table below:

Lover Clues
During the course of going on Patrol, you may meet people who give you clues as to where certain Lovers can be found on the map. Once you have found a clue, you have 50 turns to get to the location and see if she is there. You can increase the chance that she is there by ensuring your Fortune is high before your final move to the location.
Make sure to use manual movement whenever you have a Lover Clue so you can take a direct route to the location. This will decrease the amount of Fortune and Stamina you use trying to get to it. If you do find the Lover at the location then you will unlock them if you don’t already have them and have met them the required number of times. Alternatively, you will increase your Intimacy with them if you already have them.
