In this King’s Choice event, you must explore a mysterious castle as you hunt for the dangerous Scarlet Beauty. Standing in your way as you explore will be other enemies that you can attack in exchange for rewards as well as random friendly NPCs who you can help in exchange for a small prize. Placing well in this event can be difficult, however, there are certain tactics you can employ to increase your chances of a top-10 finish. In this King’s Choice Scarlet Beauty Guide let’s take a look at these specific strategies you can use, what rewards you can expect, and much more.

Exploring
Central to the Scarlet Beauty event is the Exploration function. You can have a maximum of 40 exploration chances that replenish by 1 every 6 minutes and each time you hit the ‘Explore’ button, your exploration chances are reduced by 1. With each exploration, you will have an encounter with either an enemy or a captive. Enemies can be attacked in exchange for ranking points and event currency whilst captives can be rescued in return for item rewards.
Often you will not want to fight certain enemies, instead hoping to find an enemy that is a higher level and therefore offers better rewards when attacked. In this scenario, it can take an annoying amount of time to spam through the Explore button as you look for the ideal target. Thankfully, you can do 10 Explores at once using the Explorer’s Torch item. These can be bought in the Alliance Store for 300 Alliance Coins and will speed things up a lot as well as not cost you any of your currently available explore chances. If you run out of explore chances, you can buy additional ones for 10 gold each.
Silver Sword
The Silver Sword is the item that is used to attack the enemies you encounter during the King’s Choice Scarlet Beauty Event. When the event starts you will have 10 of these with the amount you have slowly replenishing over time to a maximum of 20. They can also be increased by using Silver Scabbard items which contain 3 Silver Swords each and can be bought either in Packs or from the Item Store for 150 each.
If you want to place high in the event you will likely need to buy some of these each day that the event is running. A maximum of 3 Silver Scabbards can be bought each day from the Item Store with Value Packs also having their usual purchase limits. It should be noted that the Silver Sword cost of an attack will increase if you make many attempts to beat the target. For example, the Silver Sword cost will increase from 1 to 2 after 4 attempts on the same target.
Battles
Once you have found a suitable target through exploration, and have available Silver Swords, it is time to launch your attacks! Enemies can be found from levels 1 to 7 with each one having increasing levels of HP. With each attack you make you will be rewarded with both Boody Coins, which can be spent in the Event Shop, and Event Points which will determine your overall ranking.
The damage you deal is determined by your overall Lord Power which is calculated as the sum of all your Knight’s Knight Power. Check out our King’s Choice Knight Power Calculator for details on how this is calculated and how you can increase it. Alternatively, you can purchase Lord Power Boosts for the event in exchange for Gold. Each buff bought will increase your Lord Power in the Scarlet Beauty Event by 5%. If you want to place well, it is vital to buy at least a few of these.
Each enemy you attack has a total amount of points that you gain from reducing their HP and an additional bonus amount for landing the killing blow as shown in the table below. For Attack Points, you will receive a number based on the proportion of the enemy’s total HP that you take away. For example, if you attack the Young Ruffian, who has 200 available attack points, and deal damage equal to 80% of their HP, you will receive 160 points. If you launch a second attack, you will kill them to receive the remaining 40 attack points and receive an additional 30 points for landing the killing blow for a total of 230 points.

With this in mind, you want to ensure that you are gaining the maximum amount of points for each Silver Sword you use. For example, say that you can kill the Young Ruffian in 1 hit, whilst the Old Ruffian will take you 2 hits. In this scenario, although the Old Ruffian has more total points available, you will get a total of 176 points per Silver Sword used versus 230 points for the 1 Silver Sword used to kill the Young Ruffian. As such, you should avoid any Young Ruffians and instead only attack Old Ruffians. This point is illustrated in the chart below outlining the number of points you will receive for each Silver Sword it takes to kill each of the Scarlet Beauty enemies.
Use this chart to work out which targets will give you the biggest bang for your buck and is perhaps the most powerful tool you can use to place well in the event. It should also guide any Lord Power Buffs you buy as you don’t want to end up in no man’s land where the additional buffs don’t help you kill enemies with fewer Silver Swords.
Scarlet Beauty
The Scarlet Beauty is the toughest enemy you will face in this King’s Choice Event and as such also offers the best rewards. However, she can not be found during exploration and instead only appears after all players in the event have dealt a certain amount of damage. Once spawned she will remain in play for 30 minutes, during which time all players can attack her.
If you land the killing blow, you and your entire alliance will earn a bonus reward. You should keep attacking the Scarlet Beauty whenever she appears until the attack cost increases to 2 Silver words, at this point the cost outweighs the rewards versus other potential targets.
Captives
As mentioned in the previous sections, when exploring the castle, there is also a chance to encounter friendly NPCs known as Captives. When found you have the chance to save them in exchange for a small reward. You should always do this as it has no Silver Sword cost to action. There are a limited number of Captives to be found and once all have been saved they will stop appearing.
Intelligence
Using the Intelligence function in Scarlet Beauty is an excellent way to gain some low-cost high reward increases to your score. Here you will essentially see any enemies that your allies have found but not yet defeated. In this menu, you should look for higher-level targets that have a remaining HP that is close to your total Lord Power. You can therefore kill them in one hit to earn damage rewards as well as kill rewards on targets that would have alternatively taken you several attacks to kill. It can also be used to find available targets that match your optimal attack profile as outlined in the chart earlier in this King’s Choice Guide. Targets disappear from Intelligence after not taking damage for 3 hours.
Rewards
The Scarlet Beauty Event is an excellent source of Aura items such as Shield of Glory and Book of Sages. In addition to this, there are plentiful amounts of Edict items and Equipment to help you Improve your Knights. There is also an Alliance Ranking reward which can offer a great source of Prestige Chests to help you Increase your Prestige Fast. Lastly, for those placing in the top 150 individual ranking, there will usually be a chance to progress into a Cross Server Event with even better Aura rewards such as Holy Sword.
It should also be noted that there is a special Scarlet Beauty event currency called Bloody Coins which are accumulated at the same rate as event points. These can be spent on some great rewards such as those outlined in the table below:
