King’s Choice Famous Scholars Guide

The Famous Scholars are the first set of Aura Knights that you will unlock in King’s Choice. You will start to see Book of Sages rewards after about a month of gameplay which you will need to accumulate to unlock them. In this King’s Choice Famous Scholars Guide, we will cover all of these Knights, how to get them, who is the best, what their Auras are, and more.

Are the Famous Scholar Knights Good?

Leonardo da Vinci - King's Choice Famous Scholars Knights

Although they rank well as Strength Knights, they are most commonly used as Leadership Knights due to their proficiency in this area versus other Aura Knights. You may be tempted to develop 2 Famous Scholars at once, 1 for Strength and 1 for Leadership, though this should not be done as it will limit how far you can develop their Auras due to Book of Sages constraints. Indeed, it is better to wait until you unlock an Arthurian Legend and instead use this Knight as your Strength Knight.

All of the Famous Scholars rank very similarly when it comes to Leadership therefore there is little difference between the one you choose to focus on. However, Leonardo da Vinci, in our opinion does have a small edge in terms of his overall utility due to a Strength Talent that is 1 star higher than the other Famous Scholars. As strength is a key metric in determining Knight Power and also a great help in many events, we do actually recommend him as your first pick.

In addition to this, Homer does seem to fall a little behind his contemporaries and he should not be picked as your lead Leadership Knight. As will be covered later on in this King’s Choice Famous Scholars Guide, this is because his Leadership Talent is actually 1 less than the others marking him out as slightly weaker.

How to get the Famous Scholars

How to Unlock the King's Choice Famous Scholars Knights

To unlock the Famous Scholars in King’s Choice you must accumulate an item called the Book of Sages. This is acquired as a reward after placing well in different events such as Ranking Events, Uncharted Waters, and so on. Each time you want to unlock one of the Famous Scholars you will need to consume 10 of these items. This is done through the Exchange menu where you will find the 4 available Famous Scholars, meaning you will need 40 Book of Sages to unlock them all.

In addition to the Book of Sages being needed to unlock the Famous Scholars, you will also need them to improve each one’s Aura. Alternatively, you can also use an item called Imprint of Thought to improve their Aura which is sometimes found as a reward in cross-server events. To max out the Auras for just 1 of the Famous Scholars will require a total of 740 Book of Sages items. This is a huge amount that will take a long time to accumulate, as such, whenever you see these as a reward you should make sure that you place well in the event to get at least 1 of them.

Aura

King's Choice Famous Scholars Aura Upgrade

The Famous Scholars Knights have a total of 4 Auras that they can learn and upgrade with each one being the same for all of them. Maxing these out will add an enormous amount of State Power and is highly worth pursuing. To upgrade an Aura will require either unlocking more of the Famous Scholars, using Book of Sages, using Imprint of Thought, or upgrading their Assist Knight, Hypatia. Each Aura is outlined in the table below.
