LotR Rise to War Season Guide

The usage of some form of “seasons” mechanic is popular in the gaming industry. It is a typical feature in many multiplayer games. They often last a few months and might indicate a new cosmetics/skins theme or content roll-out. In Lord of the Rings Rise to War, a season functions almost like a “round” in comparison. These seasons are also often referred to as the Rise to War Campaigns.

In LotR Tise to War, tacticians must battle with their faction to complete Seasonal Objectives to be crowned the victorious faction at season end. Continue reading to learn more about the LotR Rise to War Seasons feature and how changing seasons will impact your account.

What is a Season in LotR Rise To War?

A season in LotR Rise to War represents a certain set of scenarios in the game which form a campaign and last two to three months. Players compete alongside their factions to complete these campaign scenarios in order to win the season. An example of some LotR Rise to War season 2 goals can be seen in the picture below:

Once a season is over, a new season will begin with a fresh scenario. New players to the game must all complete season one and two in order before moving on to the following seasons. This ensures that veteran players are not pitted against brand new players. This is relatively effective at keeping the game balanced.

Additionally, at this point, certain elements of your account will be reset. However, you will be allowed to take some things with you to the next season including the Commanders you have been working hard on.

Each new season brings a change to the features and content of the game. This includes additional Rise to War Factions being added, new commanders, and new scenarios. This does a great job of keeping the game feeling fresh with each new season you start.

What Happens When a LotR Rise to War Season Ends?

Each time there is a new season in LotR Rise to War, there are a number of changes to gameplay and a player’s account depending on the campaign you register for in the next season. There will also be a number of rewards given out depending on a player’s performance. Keep reading below for more details on all of this.

LotR Rise to War Season Rewards

As soon as the season ends players won’t be able to complete Seasonal Objectives since all server progress at that time will pause. Titles, Medals, and other Season rewards are then distributed to the top-performing players.

Medals are a particularly important currency when starting a new season. They allow you to purchase premium items from the season store before it begins which will help you in the next campaign’s objectives. Ensuring you perform well in a season will therefore be a huge boost for you at the next stage.

LotR Rise to War Season Changes

A new Season is created for a player by merging them with players from several servers. This aims to bring players together of a similar activity and skill level to ensure a more balanced game. At this point, all players will see their accounts reset to Hall Level 1 with the ability to select a new Rise to War Faction also enabled.

Although accounts are reset, there are certain elements that players are allowed to maintain when starting a new LotR Rise to War Season. This includes the following:

  • All equipment and its associated progress.
  • Equipment fragments.
  • All Commanders and their respect progress (level is reset).
  • Commander gifts.
  • Items not marked as seasonal.
  • Mathom Medals.
  • Gems.

Lastly, the Construction Queue Pack and the Monthly Packs are two purchases that have a 30-day shelf life. Despite the start of a new Season, these packs will continue for their entire lifetime. The length of the Construction Queue or Monthly Packs will not change or be shortened due to a server merging.

LotR Rise to War Seasonal Rankings Explained

Similar to rankings in other online games, Players may earn Season Titles to display on their Player Profile. To obtain a higher ranking, tacticians must cooperate rather than grind rank points. In Rise to War you can earn five different titles that serve as ranks. Each has specific requirements.

As you can see. It’s not as simple as “obtain this many ranked points”, or “win this amount of matches”. Goals such as occupying key regions in Rise To War require a collective effort of you and your allied factions comprised of hundreds of friendly players. And you will all need to face hundreds of opponents who want that same honor.
