Having a Mount equipped to one of your Knights is an excellent way to grant them some additional Power. You are granted one for free the server has been open for 14 days and you are past Chapter 75, however, this is where the free ride stops. It takes a lot of work to get them upgraded to their full potential and even more effort to unlock any additional ones. In this King’s Choice Guide, we will let you know all you need to know about Mounts, how to get them, improve them, and more!

Why You Need Mounts
Mounts are a great way to increase both your Knight Power and your State Power. This will help your performance in events, such as Scarlet Beauty, and also increase the number of resources you gain from the Collection activity. However, it should be noted that each Mount can only be equipped to one Knight at a time and will have a 24-hour cooldown before they can be added to another Knight if you remove them.
How to get Mounts
Mounts are first unlocked once the Server has been open for 14 days and you have passed Chapter 75 in the Outpost campaign. At this point, you are given the choice between 4 different Mounts to join you:
- Bison
- Goat
- War Horse
- Wild Boar
After this, any new Mounts you want to unlock must be created by composing together 50 Tokens of that specific Mount. These Tokens are also used to Ascend your Mounts which will be covered in more detail later on in this King’s Choice Mount Guide. Currently, 2 methods can be undertaken to gain Mount Tokens: Wilderness Adventure and Royal Racing.
Wilderness Adventure
In Wilderness Adventure, you set out to explore different areas armed with certain foods as supplies. To start an adventure you must select 3 foods to take with you. Every day you are given 9 apples for free, enough to cover 3 adventures, In addition, you can buy 4 other foods for 150 gold each once per day:
- Alfalfa
- Carrot
- Emperor Bamboo Grass
- Wild Gapes
A Wilderness Adventure takes 1 hour to complete with rewards such as Tokens, Resources, and Aptitude Fruit possible on your return. Apples are the most common food and as such give you the least impressive rewards with the chance of a Mount Token also quite small. To increase your chance of a specific Mount Token you can try the following combinations:

These combinations represent the most likely way to gain the corresponding Token but it is not 100% accurate and will sometimes give something else. You can also swap food C with another to still have an increased chance of the corresponding Token but the chance will be lower than using all 3 the same. This is of course a costly way to gain Mounts due to the food cost, as such, make sure to check out our Free Gold Guide for ways to keep this precious resource topped up! Royal Racing
Royal Racing is a special event that occurs about once a month after Mounts have been unlocked by the Server. In this event, players are given Coins to bet on the outcome of a race going on between 4 random horses. Depending on where the horses place that you bet on, you are rewarded with a certain amount of the event currency. This can be spent on Mount Tokens to help you unlock or Ascend Mounts. How to Improve Mounts
Each Mount in King’s Choice has 4 key attributes that can be improved with the Knight they are equipped to gaining these attributes in a 1:1 relationship from the Mount. The 4 attributes of a Knight are as follows:
- Burst – Increases Knight Strength
- Spirit – Increases Knight Intellect
- Endurance – Increases Knight Leadership
- Speed – Increases Knight Charisma
To improve these attributes, there are 3 things that a player can do such as levelling the Mount, improving their Talents, and Ascending them. We will now cover each of these in more detail in the following sections.
Level
As with Knights, a Mounts Level can be upgraded by spending Silver. Each time their level is increased the attribute will increase by a small amount. The increased amount will depend on the relevant Talent. You will quickly hit the level cap for a Mount and you must Ascend them to increase this further.
Talents
Again, as with Knights, each Mount has certain Talents at their disposal which improve how skilled they are at a particular attribute. Typically, you should look to bestow a Mount upon a Knight with a similar Talent profile to maximize the potential gains. Talents are increased using Aptitude Fruits which are gained from the Wilderness Adventure or bought from the Royal Racing shop.
Like Talent Edicts, there are 4 different aptitude fruits available with each one directly corresponding to one of the 4 attributes. When successfully used they will increase the Talent’s level by 1. However, the likelihood of them being successfully applied has a negative relationship with the Talent’s Star Level. For example, a 1-star level Talent has a 100% chance of success whilst a 3-star Talent has a 33.3% chance of success. You will quickly hit the level cap for Talents and this can also be increased by ascending the Mount.
Ascend
Ascending your Mounts is Vital to keep scaling their power. To do this, you must accumulate 20 of their Mount Tokens and also already have them at their current max level. Upon ascending, you will increase their level cap, talent level cap, and rider level cap, add further buffs to their best attribute, and add another buff to the Power of the Knight they are bestowed upon.
Mount List
Numerous Mounts in the game can be unlocked as you continue to grind the Wilderness Adventure and other Events. As mentioned above, each of these Mounts will have a different Star rating and a preferred Talent attribute.
