Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2 Guide Summary
Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2 has had a huge impact on gameplay since it was added to the game. It is the next KvK Event you will experience after your first RoK KvK 1 Event.
To help newer players, the developer, Lilith, has released a variety of additional immigration rules to ensure that players have a balanced Rise of Kingdoms KvK Season 2 experience.
Keep reading this Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2 Guide for all you need to know about this awesome RoK Event.
When is the RoK KvK 2
After finishing RoK KvK Season 1, players will be in an off-season. During this period you can take part in other events whilst you await the arrival of RoK KvK 2.
The time you must wait for the arrival of Rise of Kingdoms Season 2 will vary depending on the other Kingdoms in your region. Each region is made up of a group of 8 consecutive Kingdoms.

Each Kingdom within your region must finish its RoK KvK Season 1 before Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2 will begin. Typically, there are 60-70 days of resting before RoK KvK Season 2 comes.
What is the RoK KvK Season 2
Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2 is also known as the 2nd part of the Lost Kingdom KvK Events. The first part the player will probably know as RoK KvK 1. To learn more about all the different KvKs, check out our RoK KvK Summary Guide.
Although both RoK Lost Kingdoms KvKs are quite similar, the player will likely have a very different experience. Firstly, players will now know what they are doing and be more competitive. Additionally, the mix of RoK Commanders you can use will be different.
Lastly, players from older Kingdoms can immigrate to RoK KvK 2 Kingdoms to take part in the event. However, in a March 2022 update, the developers tightened this up to give a more balanced experience to new players as with RoK KvK 1.

KvK Resources (RSS) Preparation

- Make sure you have a farm account, read our RoK Farm Account Guide for more details on creating and using a Rise of Kingdoms Mini Account!
- As a fighter, I would always recommend saving a lot of resources for war, since you won’t be able to farm once the war begins.
- Additionally, for non-fighters, you can help the Kingdom by providing resources to players taking part in the PvP.
KvK Item Preparation

Saving the below items is essential for when the KvK begins. They will give you good troop buffs for PvP, help you shield so as not to lose points to the enemy, and grant you action points to gain honor from Barbarians, etc.

Dead Troops in the RoK KvK 2
In early 2021, the developer released a patch update that allows players to get a proportion of troops their dead troops back during KvK. This is good news for PvP’ers and will allow players to go wild in KvK. This is ideal for a first taste of the PvP element of RoK.
In KvK Season 2, the return ratio is 30% of dead troops. This is the same as in KvK Season 1.

There are 3 key ways that you will get dead troops. These are outlined in the list below and are worth remembering so you don’t encounter any nasty surprises.
- Attack / Defense of structures (Rally/Garrison/Attack holy site/flag/fortress).
- Taking AoE damage from an Enemy (not Barbarian) structure (Fortress, Flag, Holy site, or Pass).
- Hospital overload.
What are the KvK Chronicles
Chronicles are like the Monument in your city and they show the progress of the KvK in general. For example, taking a look at it will help you understand where you are in the KvK, what the current goals are, and what rewards you can get.

There are missions with gems speedups rewards that are very worth trying to attain.

RoK KvK 2 Honor Rank Rewards
Once the KvK has come to an end and you have accumulated Honor Points, you will receive your Honor Roll placing rewards. There are 3 categories that you can place in to earn some great rewards.
- Individual rank rewards
- Alliance rank rewards
- Kingdom rank rewards
Keep reading below in this RoK KvK 2 Guide for some quick details on the type of rewards you can expect in each of these categories.
Individual Rank Rewards
Players compete for the top 20 to receive a cool city skin. The skin is highly rated amongst players and comes with a 3% all-troops defense buff, a 3% healing speed buff, and a -10% cavalry attack debuff.
This skin can be seen below along with some of the other rewards that are available to be won.

In total, the top 1,000 players will receive rewards in this category. This is very achievable and worth targeting. Rewards include Golden Sculptures, golden keys, resource items, and speed-ups depending on their final rank.
Alliance Rank Rewards
In addition to Individual Ranking Rewards, Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2 also gives players in the top 50 Alliances some additional rewards. In particular, the top alliance will also receive a luxury avatar frame reward and 20 Golden Sculptures.

In this category, the top 20 alliances by honor point ranking will get golden sculptures, speed-ups, and alliance credits. The alliances ranking 21 to 50 will receive speed-ups and alliance credits only.
Kingdom Ranking Rewards
Finally, you will receive rewards depending on where your Kingdom finished during the KvK vs. the other Kingdoms taking part. All Kingdoms will receive a reward here, the higher your Kingdoms ranking, the better the rewards will be.

Kingdom rewards are less than the 2 above sections. Typically, you will see players getting golden keys, speed-ups, and resource items.

RoK KvK 2 Crusader Achievement
In the Rise of Kingdoms KvK, you also have access to Crusader Achievements. These are additional missions that you can complete for even more rewards. There are achievements to be completed in the 3 following categories:
- Individual
- Alliance
- Kingdom
Keep reading below in this Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2 Guide for more details on what you can get from each of these categories.
Individual Crusader Achievements
These are missions that you must complete on your own. Typical missions that you need to complete could include the following:
- Occupy ancient ruins or altars for 20 minutes.
- Kill 25,000,000 troops from enemy Kingdoms.
- Accumulate 90,000 individual Honor Points.

If you are struggling to kill enemy players for this achievement, it can be a good idea to do a T1 troop kill exchange players from the other Kingdoms. This is a very low-cost and low-risk method to complete this achievement. However, it must be carefully negotiated.
Have a look at healing costs in our RoK Troops Guide.
Additionally, the achievement also has barbarian hunting, building flag time, ruin/altar occupying time, etc… Make sure you can achieve it all to maximize your progress.
Alliance Crusader Achievements
These are missions that you must complete with your Alliance. The below picture shows an example of the type of rewards and tasks you can expect.

These achievements are a great source of Chest Keys, Commander Sculptures, and Speedups. In particular, in KvK season 2, you could get Wu Zetian Sculptures, Legendary Material, and even more great rewards. You should really aim to complete these achievements.
Kingdom Crusader Achievements
These are objectives that you must complete with your Kingdom. The below picture shows an example of the type of rewards and tasks you can expect.

These achievements are a great source of Chest Keys, Commander Sculptures, and Resources. However, the rewards are slightly worse than the other 2 categories. As such they should be prioritized first.

Best RoK KvK 2 Infantry Commanders
Below is a table of the best RoK Infantry Commander Pairings to use in KvK Season 2. In addition, the list outlines when each of these pairings is best used.
Commanders | Use |

Alexander the Great Charles Martel | Rally and open field fighting. This is the cheapest pair with high counterattack damage as well as shock damage. |
Alexander the Great Yi Seong-Gye | Rally and open field fighting. This is the most popular pairing in KvK season 2 used by all infantry players. |
Charles Martel Yi Seong-Gye | Rally/Garrison and open field fighting. The “national” pairing for KvK 2, can be used for all purposes. |
Richard I Yi Seong-Gye | Open-field fighting only. High damage from YSG and healing from RC! Countered by Alex and Saladin in KvK 2 has made pairing less useful. |
Constantine I Charles Martel | Garrison only. This pair allows the team to hold structures longer, however at a more expensive price! |
Constantine I Joan of Arc | Open-field only. Top buff pair in season 2 and are able to maintain the battlefield for a long time! |

Saladin Aethelflaed | Open-field only. Very balanced pairing with good stats, skill damage, debuffs, and slow controls. |
Belisarus Cao Cao | Farm hunting only. Mobility talent tree boosts their speed to super as “F1″. 60% speed boost from nodes, use to run faster during the hunt. |

More Quick Tips for the Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2
Some more useful things to know in this Rise of Kingdoms KvK 2 Guide.
- Your city is safe when you are within your territory (your alliance flag and fortress).
- Your Kingdom will have the same colored territory and you are free to teleport within your Kingdom land. However, it is only when you are in your alliance‘s territory that you are safe!
- Always keep an eye on your city’s safety, activate a shield, or teleport back to the safe zone if needed.
- Using 5 marches in KvK is not always good. If your commanders and their equipment are weak, then you are feeding the enemy!
- Use your best marches to optimize your gameplay, save resources, and speed ups.
- Keep note of your hospital capacity, especially if it reaches 75/80/90% of its capacity. Overloading your hospital will result in dead troops, play carefully!
- Be sure to set essential troop presets for your marches. This will depend on your current objective e.g., marches for Barbarian hunting, rune taker, YSG counters, PvP, etc.
- You are probably going to need a Defense Commander if you plan on a lot of PvP. Check out our list of the Best Rise of Kingdoms Defense Commanders for help on this.
