Rise of Kingdoms KvK 1 Guide

In Rise of Kingdoms, the KvKs are probably the most anticipated RoK Events. Indeed, the PvP strategy and great rewards are a huge attraction for players. In this RoK KvK 1 Guide, we provide you with all the details you need to know for your first Rise of Kingdoms KvK.

Rise of Kingdoms KvK 1 Guide Summary

As mentioned in our RoK KvK Summary article, Kingdom vs Kingdom mode was released on 15th April 2019 and has had a significant impact on gameplay, as well as the community, since its launch.

Over the years, the developer has made many changes to maintain a balanced KvK season for new players to the game. As such, KvK 1 still remains great fun for new players in their first KvK.

What Happens During RoK KvK 1

Rise of Kingdoms KvK Season 1 is a war event lasting for 60 days between 8 kingdoms from the same region. For example, Kingdom 2737 to Kingdom 2744 are 8 kingdoms in the same Region. Therefore, they will face each other in their RoK KvK Season 1.

RoK KvK Regions

During the event, you teleport to a special RoK Lost Kingdoms map to do battle with the other Kingdoms. Completing certain tasks will earn you points which gain you huge rewards at the end of the event.

KvK 1 is known as the most limited season since it‘s for new players only. Although there are some tricks for older players to take part in the KvK Season 1, in general, most players playing time is will be similar to each other.

To play KvK 1, players are required to create a new account within a new Kingdom. Read our RoK Farm Account Guide and RoK Beginner’s Tips post for more details on creating new accounts and getting started in the game.

Players usually find their first KvK Experience in the Rise of Kingdoms Lost Kingdom very memorable. It is often the first taste of PvP and exciting rewards on a level playing field with limited RoK Commanders.

RoK KvK 1 Preparation
  • Make sure you have a farm account, read our RoK Farm Account Guide for more details on creating and using a Rise of Kingdoms Mini Account!
  • As a fighter, I would always recommend saving a lot of resources for war, since you won’t be able to farm once the war begins.
  • Additionally, for non-fighters, you can help the Kingdom by providing resources to players taking part in the PvP.

KvK Item Preparation

RoK KvK Preparation - collect items

Saving the below items is essential for when the KvK begins. They will give you good troop buffs for PvP, help you shield so as not to lose points to the enemy, and grant you action points to gain honor from Barbarians, etc.

  • Shields
  • Teleports
  • Action Point Potions

Dead Troops in the RoK KvK 1

In early 2021, the developer released a patch update that allows players to get a proportion of troops their dead troops back during KvK. This is good news for PvP’ers and will allow players to go wild in KvK. This is ideal for a first taste of the PvP element of RoK.

In KvK season 1, the return ratio is 30% of dead troops.

More Quick Tips for the Rise of Kingdoms KvK 1

Some more useful things to know in this Rise of Kingdoms KvK 1 Guide.

  • Your city is safe when you are within your territory (your alliance flag and fortress).
  • Your Kingdom will have the same colored territory and you are free to teleport within your Kingdom land. However, it is only when you are in your alliance‘s territory that you are safe!
  • Always keep an eye on your city’s safety, activate a shield, or teleport back to the safe zone if needed.
  • Using 5 marches in KvK is not always good. If your commanders and their equipment are weak, then you are feeding the enemy!
  • Use your best marches to optimize your gameplay, save resources, and speed ups.
  • Keep note of your hospital capacity, especially if it reaches 75/80/90% of its capacity. Overloading your hospital will result in dead troops, play carefully!
  • Be sure to set essential troop presets for your marches. This will depend on your current objective e.g., marches for Barbarian hunting, rune taker, YSG counters, PvP, etc.
  • You are probably going to need a Defense Commander if you plan on a lot of PvP. Check out our list of the Best Rise of Kingdoms Defense Commanders for help on this.
