Is Hilda a Good Esper in Dislyte?

Hilda fills a somewhat empty hole in Dislyte in that the game really lacks a solid Sleep-focused Controller Esper. In addition to this, she can get a solid amount of Poisons out to deal some decent damage over time. Indeed, this is exactly what makes her one of the Best Espers for Andras in the Ritual Miracle.

As you’d expect, her third ability, Dream, Interrupted, is the highlight of her kit. When used she gains a unique buff called Deep Sleep for 2 turns. With this active, she inflicts Sleep and Poison before the start of any Esper’s turn. This is pretty OP and quickly completely incapacitates the entire enemy team whilst also dealing them with consistent Poison damage.

The rest of her abilities also add further Sleeps and Poisons, along with SPD Down and DEF Down, making her a pretty serious all-around debuffer. In terms of damage, this scales off of her DEF and it can therefore be useful to increase this stat via secondary attributes on her Equipment.

  • At the start of a round, the bearer has a 100% chance of gaining DEF Up for 1 turn

Hilda Equipment

A huge part of Hilda’s kit is hitting the enemy with Sleep and Poison. Therefore, you need to maximize her ACC to ensure these stick whilst also causing her passive to proc. Lastly, you can consider reducing her cooldowns to ensure she can get her debuffs out more often or increase the damage she does based on the number of debuffs the enemy has. Therefore, you should look to apply the following sets:

  • Calamity: Damage against targets with a debuff +20%. For each additional debuff on the target, damage +3%, with a maximum additional increase of 15%.
  • Ocean: 35% chance of reducing all ability cooldowns by 1 at the start of an Esper’s turn.
  • Recurve: ACC +25%

Lastly, Hilda’s Equipment characteristics should prioritize DEF BONUS, HP BONUS, ACC, and SPD.
