As with any gacha game, it can be difficult for free players to keep up with the Whales in Dislyte. Of course, this will never be possible considering how much some people spend on these games. However, as a F2P Player in Dislyte, there are certain Espers you can concentrate on which are obtainable completely for free and are also great.
In this guide, we will highlight all the Best Free Dislyte Espers that F2P players should aim to unlock straight away. Many of these will help you deep into the late game especially if you spend some time maxing them out. To help you out with this also make sure to check out our Dislyte Esper Guide for all you need to know about making the most of your Espers.
Best Free Dislyte Espers for F2P Players
As mentioned above, there are several great Dislyte Espers to go after early on if you are a F2P player. This includes some Legendary, Epic, and Rare Espers. Some of these Espers will require a lot of grinding to get the best of them but it is well worth it. Keep reading for our full list of the Best Dislyte Espers for Free Players below.
Drew (Anubis)

Drew is undoubtedly the most popular beginning Esper, and it isn’t hard to see why. He’s easily one of the best Rare Fighter Espers, and he’s available to you from the get-go as a F2P Dislyte player.
On top of this, his ability to attack another Esper after killing the one he targets with his most powerful attack is very underrated in my opinion. While he isn’t perfect, he’s useful, particularly in certain Ritual Miracle builds.
Overall, being acquired at the beginning of the game and easily accessible through the gacha mechanic due to his rarity makes him a valuable asset and one that is very easy to improve.
Check out our Drew Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Chang Pu (Yao Ji)

Chang Pu was my first healer and while I wouldn’t call her versatile by any means, she’s incredibly useful and we still consider her one of the Best Healers in Dislyte. She can heal both the team and individual members far more than some other Supports. This makes her a great support for some of the more flimsy Espers you’ll get early on in Dislyte.
While you’ll later get Espers who are capable of healing and also providing other benefits alongside it such as clearing debuffs or healing passively alongside what they already do, this certainly doesn’t diminish how great Chang Pu is. As a F2P Dislyte player, you’d be hard-pressed to find better healing Espers. Even though she only heals, she certainly does a great job at it!
Due to how easily you can upgrade her thanks to her rarity, she’s definitely worth building and a viable asset to any team, at least before you obtain other healers. She was one of my favorites at the very beginning of the game and certainly isn’t one to underestimate.
Check out our Chang Pu Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Unky Chai (Yue Lao)

Unky Chai is an interesting Esper – he’s a very useful 3* Support Esper, but not one I ever built or used until long after I’d found better Espers. Though he isn’t too popular within the community, he’ll likely be one of your first buffing Espers, and I’d take advantage of his low rarity to upgrade him to his maximum potential as soon as you can.
Being able to buff his allies’ attacks in several ways and being easy to use due to his passive ability, he’s a very important asset if you feel that your team’s issue isn’t that they need more healing but that they need to be able to put more damage out before they get crushed. Many of the game’s bosses such as those in Ritual Miracle benefit from this approach, and Unky Chai is very simple to use for this aim.
The only flaw I would be wary of is one that he shares with many other Support Espers, physical flimsiness. You’ll likely also need another Esper to be able to back him up and heal him, and sometimes that isn’t a sacrifice you want to take. Despite this, he’s very useful, especially for particular bosses, and I definitely wouldn’t shy away from using and building him in the early game.
Check out our Unky Chai Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Tang Yun (Six-Eared Macaque)

Tang Yun is absolutely one of the Best Dislyte Rare Fighter Espers, and definitely one to invest in for free players. While others such as Bai Liuli have their strengths and uses, Tang Yun is great for his rarity.
His base damage isn’t as much as you might think, but due to his ability to attack several times in a turn and stun opponents, he’ll end up taking more swipes at opponents than other Espers, and this means that his overall output is surprisingly great.
Similarly to Li Ling, he’s great with Equipment Sets that capitalize on his ability to deal several hits in one turn and thus deal a lot of damage (such as the Nether set) and I definitely wouldn’t underestimate him due to his rarity. While Legendary Espers will always trump Rare ones, he has his place on many teams and is worth the effort regardless.
Check out our Tang Yun Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Mona (Artemis)

Mona, being the first Epic Esper you’ll get on account of the fact that you get her automatically at the beginning of the game, is pretty useful! While she’ll likely be hard to make useful later on in the game, equipped with a good Equipment Set such as Nether, she can deal great damage and heal herself to make up for her low defensive capabilities.
I’d definitely use her considering the fact that you’ll have her, but she’s certainly not the best of the bunch. Being a 4*, she’s also harder to upgrade and improve, and so compared to all of the Espers on this list, I’d probably put her at the lower end.
Still, she isn’t a waste to build and she’s a great asset at the beginning of the game, especially when you’re staying F2P and don’t want to spend any money to pull for better Espers. Don’t rule her out, make use of her while you can and know when someone better comes along! She’s definitely useful, and I still use her sometimes myself.
Check out our Mona Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Meredith (Scylla)

Meredith is a Wind Support and is the only Epic Esper available from the Ripple Dimension. This availability makes her very easy to obtain and max out if you are willing to put the grind in and monitor chat for new Ripple Dimensions opening up. You’ll have to be quick though as these fill up fast!
She is a Healer Support that also has a focus on buffing her allies with DEF Up, CRIT RESIST, SPD Up, and Shields. She is a solid upgrade on the other Healer option in this list, Chang Pu, and easily one of the Best Healers in the game. We’d recommend getting her as soon as you can given the ease with which this can be done.
Check out our Meredith Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Fabrice (Freyr)

Fabrice is an Epic Support Esper of the Wind Element that is available very easily from the Club Shop. Each week you can obtain 10 of his Ripples for just 1,000 Club Points with you needing a total of 40 Ripples to obtain a copy of him. This makes him an Esper that is very obtainable and easy to max out even for Free Dislyte Players.
Fabrice is a great Esper for buffing and protecting his allies and should definitely be considered and used since you don’t need to rely on luck to get him. Due to his ability to provide both Immunity and Invincibility, Fabrice is able to essentially give your team an entire turn of protection from any possible issues – this is particularly useful in Point War.
Check out our Fabrice Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Xie Yuzhi (Death Guard Bai)

Xie Yuzhi is an Epic Wind Controller Esper that originates from Chinese mythology and is available from the Cube Shop. As such, he is another Esper which is easily obtainable for F2P Dislyte Players as long as you always ensure you complete the Cube Miracle. You can buy 10 Ripples for 1,000 Cube Points at each reset.
He is a Controller Esper with a focus on AP manipulation that can greatly disrupt the enemy’s turn order and boost her own AP in the process. Like any Controller worth their salt, he is also able to stun enemies with the extra bonus of also being able to apply SPD Up to her own team. As a F2P Dislyte player, you should look to pick her up and max her out if you are in need of a reliable Controller Esper.
Check out our Xie Yuzhi Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Dhalia (Calypso)

Particularly known for her AP manipulation, Dhalia is very useful in PVP situations such as Point War. Considering how easily her Ripples can be acquired, she’s a quick and useful asset for any player, F2P or otherwise.
While benefiting from the same things as Ye Suhua does, as mentioned previously, she’s also able to buff and debuff with some great stats. She’s quite flimsy and so does need to be provided with healing or shielding, but she’ll carry you through the early stages of Point War and Holobattle far better than anyone else.
Though her flimsiness can become an issue, with physical weakness being her primary problem, she’s still great for the early game and very easy to get to max resonance. She’s well-loved for a reason, and I recommend you at least give her a try.
Check out our Dhalia Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers for F2P players. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Sander (Set)

Sander is an Inferno Controller Esper that is of Epic rarity and originates from the Egyptian God of War, Set. As you’d expect from an Esper with this background, Sander loves to cause chaos amongst the enemy team. This is done through AP manipulation, Stuns, and SPD Up buffs for himself.
Although Sander’s damage is not the highest, it does scale off of his SPD which, as a Controller, you will want to have high anyway with your build. He is available in the Divine Sequencer Shop which will become a great source of Free Dislyte Espers for F2P as you progress further in the game.
Check out our Sander Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers for F2P players. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Asenath (Nefertem)

Asenath is the only Shimmer Esper on this list which makes her very useful. She is a Support Esper based on the Egyptian God of Perfume and is obtainable from the Divine Sequencer Shop. In the early game, this shop probably won’t be available to you, but it will become a good source of Free Dislyte Espers as you progress for F2P players.
Although she is one of the Best Healers in the game, unfortunately, she is a bit lacking in other areas such as buffs to her allies. In addition, although she can dispel buffs from enemies, this can only be targeted at 1 and has a low chance of success. Although there are clearly better Supports she should be considered due to her Shimmer Element and her availability in the Shop making it easy to max her out.
Check out our Asenath (Nefertem) Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers for F2P players. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Alexa (Aphrodite)

Alexa is an Inferno Support Esper of the Epic rarity that originates from the Greek God of Love. She is another very strong Healer that will help keep your Espers going against some of the strongest bosses in the game. She can also dispel 1 debuff from all allies, healing them at the same time, which is particularly useful against Apep in the Ritual Miracle and Shadowgale in Desolate Lands.
Alexa can currently be obtained from the Fusion mechanic which should be very attainable for all Free Dislyte Players. In particular, you should focus on getting her if you need a bit of help against Apep and the Shadowgale.
Check out our Alexa Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers for F2P players. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Lu Yi (Dayi)

Lu Yi is a Wind Fighter Esper from Chinese mythology who can be obtained from the Divine Sequencer Shop. In the early game, this shop probably won’t be available to you, but it will become a good source of Free Dislyte Espers as you progress for F2P players.
As a Fighter, you will be expecting this Esper to deal reliable damage and Lu Yi does not disappoint in this regard, especially once you have maxed out his Resonance. His attacks also have the ability to attack several enemies at once which can be particularly useful against certain bosses. In addition, he can debuff the enemy with Sear and Bleed for even more damage.
Check out our Lu Yi (Dayi) Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers for F2P players. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Donar (Thor)

Originating from Thor, the Norse god of thunder, Donar is a Legendary Flow Defender. He is an unconventional Defender that relies more upon a huge DEF to stay in the game and deal damage and ATK debuffs to the enemy rather than taunting the enemy like Falken or Ren Si. Although one of the few Defender Espers in Dislyte he should be thought of as a hybrid between a Fighter and a Defender.
Although a Legendary, Donar is available from the Tournament Shop. You can buy 10 Ripples for him at each shop reset in exchange for 2,000 Supply Vouchers. You will need 50 Ripples to obtain a copy of him. This does make him quite expensive especially when the Tournmane Shop is one of the best sources for buying Legendary Abilimon.
However, his availability in the shop does mean he is an Esper that is very obtainable for free Dislyte players. You will also be able to max out his Resonance over time. Despite this, many consider the cost too much.
Check out our Donar Guide for more details on why we think he is one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Li Ling (Nezha)

Li Ling is one of my favorites on this list, certainly my favorite Fighter, and this is simply due to how easy to use he is. You’ll very likely get him as one of your first 5* Espers due to Dislyte’s guarantee, and you’ll find that he has an incredible damage output even without much specific building. He’s very versatile for different teams, and will likely carry you through the beginning of the game.
Even at the point that I am at in the game, having been at the maximum Squad level for over a month, I still use him all the time and find him to be one of the most efficient DPS Fighters there is. I’m not entirely F2P but have hardly spent any money on the game at all, and Li Ling has never diminished in his usefulness.
I’d recommend equipping him with an Equipment Set that takes advantage of his already high damage output such as a Nether Set, but it’s truly hard to mess up building him. Definitely keep him in your team, and sacrifice other Fighters here such as Mona if you have to.
Check out our Li Ling Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Tang Xuan (Sun Wukong)

Tang Xuan is another 5* Legendary Esper that you are also likely to acquire due to Dislyte’s Legendary guarantee for new players. While he isn’t as good as Li Ling in my opinion, he’s able to both give himself a shield and debuff opponents, two capabilities that a pure DPS Fighter like Li Ling can’t cover.
He doesn’t deal as much damage and his Enchantments can take some getting used to since they’re unique to this Esper. However, they can be surprisingly useful, particularly in the early game. As a F2P player, you’ll likely pull him on the gacha even when you’re seeking someone else, (it’s often something people joke about) but this just means you can improve an already built Esper!
Overall, as you progress you’ll likely acquire better Fighter Espers and those that are fully based on debuffing rather than being half and half, but this doesn’t make Tang Xuan bad. He’s still a great damage dealer, and I’d definitely use him when you have the chance.
Check out our Tang Xuan Guide for more details on why we think they are one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
Lucas (Apollo)

Originating from Apollo, the Greek god of the sun, Lucas is a Legendary Controller Esper often used by more advanced F2P Dislyte fans on account of the fact that he can be acquired through Fusion. This makes him easy to max out if you are willing to do the grind.
Although not the Best Controller in the game, Lucas is still very useful in most teams. He is able to stop opponents in their tracks by stunning them and taking their AP and can also dispel buffs from the enemy. On the downside, his damage isn’t great but this isn’t really what you are looking for in a dedicated Controller Esper anyway!
Check out our Lucas Guide for more details on why we think he is one of the Best Free Dislyte Espers. For more information on everything that makes an Esper good, check out our dedicated Dislyte Esper Guide.
