Is Gaius a Good Esper in Dislyte?
Gaius is a hugely popular Esper in Dislyte that is well known for his huge AoE DPS potential. Somewhat uniquely in Dislyte, he can also change his stance to God Mode which makes all his abilities even more powerful. He can inflict Stuns, gain extra turns, distribute Buff Blockers, steal buffs, deal huge crit damage, and target enemy Espers with Sear!
On top of all of this, his Captain Ability increases ATK by 40% in Point War. This makes him easily one of the best for Point War, with all his other abilities making him one of the Best Esper Fighters in the whole of Dislyte. He can also be particularly useful against Kronos.
Gaius Abilities
In battle, an Esper will utilize their abilities in order to deal damage to the enemy and support their team. All Dislyte Esper Abilities start at Level 1 and can be increased further depending on the ability. Each additional level will improve the ability in a certain way. For more details on improving an Esper’s abilities, check out our Dislyte Esper Guide.

Gaius Equipment
Gaius’ main focus is as an AoE DPS that also has the potential to inflict the enemy with some debuffs such as Stun and Sear. In addition, when he enters God King mode he gives a shield to all allies which scales off of his ATK and sees a huge boost to his C. DMG. Therefore, you should look to nurture this as much as possible with the following sets:
- War: +30% ATK
- Avatara: +25% Counterattack chance
Lastly, Gaius’ Equipment characteristics should prioritize C. DMG, ATK BONUS, and SPD.
