Originating from Serket, the scorpion goddess of healing venomous stings and bites from Egyptian mythology, Kara is an Epic Flow Fighter Esper. She is almost a hybrid between a Fighter and a Support Esper, with her abilities focused on debuffing the enemy with Poisons, Diseased, SPD Down, and AP reductions.

Is Kara a Good Esper in Dislyte?
Kara does very low attack damage as far as a Fighter Esper is concerned. Her kit is instead focused on overwhelming the enemy with poisons and other debuffs such as Diseased to prevent them from healing and AP reductions to push them back in the turn order.
Leading out with her third ability, Doomstroke, will attack all enemies and inflict them with Poison and SPD Down. Once you have her at max Resonance, this will also reduce their AP. Her passive, Deadly Toxin, will also inflict an additional Poison debuff on the enemy every time she attacks. Lastly, her basic ability, Scorpion Claw, attacks one enemy and has a chance to inflict them with Diseased.
Kara completely relies on her numerous opportunities to distribute Poison stacks to cause damage. This can scale quickly as each separate stack will deal damage equal to a proportion of the target’s Max HP. However, this is also easily countered by Espers who clear debuffs and buff their team with Immunity. This makes Kara difficult to use in PvP but can be good against high-health bosses such as in the Sentinel Hunt.
In battle, an Esper will utilize their abilities in order to deal damage to the enemy and support their team. All Dislyte Esper Abilities start at Level 1 and can be increased further depending on the ability. Each additional level will improve the ability in a certain way. - Level 1: Attacks 1 enemy. Damage: 100% ATK. 60% chance of inflicting Diseased for 2 turns.
- Level 2: Damage increased to 110%.
- Level 3: Trigger Chance increased to 70%.
- Level 4: Damage increased to 120%
- Level 5: Trigger Chance increased to 80%.
Deadly Toxin [PASSIVE]
- Level 1: When attacking, inflicts Poison on the target for 2 turns. Upon successfully inflicting Poison, Poison +1 turn. Triggers 1 time on each target per turn.
- Level 1: Attacks all enemies. Damage: 100% ATK. Inflicts SPD Down and Poison for 2 turns.
- Level 2: Damage increased to 105%.
- Level 3: Damage increased to 110%.
- Level 4: Damage increased to 115%.
- Level 5: Damage increased to 120%.
- Level 6: Damage increased to 130%.
- Level 7: Cooldown reduced by 1 turn.
Kara Captain Ability
Increases ally ACC in Ritual Miracle, Sonic Miracle, Desolate Lands, and Sentinel Hunt by 40%.

- Phase 3: Upgraded Deadly Toxin
- Phase 4: ATK +10%
- Phase 5: ACC +15%
- Phase 6: HP +20%

|Overload||Doomstroke: Final Damage +10%.|
|Accurate Aim||When the target is not buffed, Miss Rate –25%.|
|Blessing||Base ATK, Base DEF, and Base HP +15%.|
|Defense Intrusion||When attacking, 18% chance of ignoring RESIST.|
|Aura||Base ATK, Base DEF, and Base HP +20%.|
|Morph||Doomstroke: Target’s AP –15%.|
You can collect Divinates for an Esper to increase their Divinate tier up to a maximum tier of 6. You can learn more about this feature in our Dislyte Esper Guide. The below shows the buffs Kara receives at her maximum Divinate tier and maximum Divinate level:
- ATK +540
- HP +2,290
- Base ATK, Base DEF, and Base HP +20%
- When the bearer’s HP percentage is not above the target’s, Scorpion Claw’s Final Damage +20%
To be useful, Kara needs to get as many Poisons out as possible, and they also need to hit their target. As such, she needs to be built for SPD and ACC. Therefore, you should look to apply the following sets:
- Wind: SPD +25%
- Recurve: ACC +25%
Lastly, Kara’s Equipment characteristics should prioritize HP BONUS, ACC, and SPD.
