Is Pericles a good general in Evony?

Pericles is a Hospital Duty General who will significantly increase your Troop HP and Hospital Capacity. Indeed, his Special Skill, Archon of Athens, is alone good enough to make him a great General to have. It increases Hospital Capacity by 25% and Troop HP by 10%. His Ascended Skills also add significant buffs but as a General only available by spending money, this can be difficult to achieve without great luck.

Pericles – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Archon of Athens

Increases hospital capacity by 25% and troops’ HP by 10% when General is the hospital officer.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Pericles will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – When General is the Hospital Officer, In-city Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +20% and HP +20%.
• 2 Star – When General is the Hospital Officer, Hospital Capacity +10%, In-city Ground Troop and Mounted Troop HP +20%.
• 3 Star – When General is the Hospital Officer, Healing Speed +15%, In-city Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense +20%.
• 4 Star – When General is the Hospital Officer, In-city Troops Attack +10% and HP +25%.
• 5 Star – When General is the Hospital Officer, In-city Troops Attack +15% and Defense +25%.

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

Pericles – Builds

As a pure Evony Duty General, there is no need to add skill books or equipment to this general. These have no impact on the general when they are on duty at a building.
