Is Nick a Good Esper in Dislyte?

Nick is a Controller Esper who uses his abilities to extend enemy cooldowns and Silence them so they can only use basic abilities. Unfortunately, Silence is easily countered with dispels, and therefore most of Nicks’s utility comes against certain PvE team compositions where the enemy is unable to counter this. Silence will ensure they cannot use their hardest-hitting moves and allow your team to take the lead.

A good strategy with Nick is to build him with SPD so that he can get out early with his Silence debuff by using his third ability, Skyfall, against the entire enemy team. This can be followed up with his second ability, Landslide, to increase the cooldowns of a specific enemy that you don’t want to hit you with their strongest ability. This can be useful for disrupting enemy Controllers or Nukers.

Nick Equipment

PD and ACC are crucial to making the most out of Nick’s kit. SPD will allow him to get his Silence debuff out early, whilst ACC will ensure that this debuff actually lands on its targets for disruption. Therefore, you should look to apply the following sets:

  • Wind: SPD +25%
  • Recurve: ACC +25%

Lastly, Nick’s Equipment characteristics should prioritize HP BONUS, ACC, and SPD.
