Is Xiang Yu a good general in Evony?

Xiang Yu can be used as both a Mounted PvP General and a Monster Hunting General. This is driven by his Special Skill, Rage of Overlord, which increases the Attack of Mounted Troops by 35%. This is great for increasing the damage done by your Mounted Troops in battle and should allow you to take down higher level Boss Monsters with lower losses.

However, as a Purple Historic General, he is really only useful in the early game. He will quickly become redundant as you pick up better Generals and therefore you should not spend too many resources developing him.

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack via equipment refines and skill books. This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

• Skill Books:
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop HP – Mounted HP +25%
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack Against Monster – Mounted Attack Against Monster +45%
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%
• Equipment Refines:
• Spear – Mounted Troop Attack % x4
• Armor – Mounted Troop Defense % x4
• Boots – Mounted Troop Defense % x4
• Helmet – Mounted Troop HP % x4

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher mounted buff.

Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and mounted HP for a mounted PvP march.

• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Defense – Mounted Defense +25%

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the march size skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double item drop rate. This will of course decrease your damage output slightly. However, the double drops are good compensation.

• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack Against Monster – Mounted Attack Against Monster +45%
• Lvl 4 Luck – Double Items Drop Rate +18%
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%
• Equipment Refines:
