Is Brynn a Good Esper in Dislyte?

Brynn is the first Esper you get as you progress through Dislyte’s story due to her being what is technically the ‘main character’, and this means that you’ll likely be building her immediately. While I wouldn’t consider Brynn viable late-game, she does have her uses.

Being a 3* Esper, it’s very easy to get Ascension material for her, and she’s not as flimsy as some other Supports, so she definitely has her uses. I would move on from her when you begin to get better Support Espers, but she definitely shouldn’t be the first you discard.

Brynn Abilities

In battle, an Esper will utilize their abilities in order to deal damage to the enemy and support their team. All Dislyte Esper Abilities start at Level 1 and can be increased further depending on the ability. Each additional level will improve the ability in a certain way. For more details on improving an Esper’s abilities, check out our Dislyte Esper Guide.

Full details on all of Brynn’s abilities can be seen below.

Cold Edge

  • Level 1: Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Each hit deals 50% ATK damage. Each hit has a 30% chance of inflicting SPD Down for 2 turns.
  • Level 2: Trigger Chance increased to 35%.
  • Level 3: Damage increased to 55%.
  • Level 4: Trigger Chance increased to 40%.
  • Level 5: Damage increased to 60%.
  • Level 6: Trigger Chance increased to 50%.

  • Level 1: Grants ATK Up to all allies for 2 turns. Cooldown: 4 turns.
  • Level 2: Cooldown reduced by 1 turn.

Advent of the Goddess

  • Level 1: Attacks 1 enemy. Deals 250% ATK damage. Inflicts Freeze for 1 turn. Cooldown: 4 turns. Following Ascension 3, DEF Down is inflicted for 2 turns.
  • Level 2: Damage increased to 260%.
  • Level 3: Damage increased to 270%.
  • Level 4: Damage increased to 280%.
  • Level 5: Damage increased to 300%.
  • Level 6: Cooldown reduced by 1 turn.

Brynn Captain Ability

This Dislyte Esper does not have a Captain Ability.

Brynn Ascension

All Espers in Dislyte can be further ascended to improve their stats starting from level 1. They can then be ascended again at levels 10/20/30/40/50 up to a total of 6 Ascensions. For more details on Ascending your Espers, check out our Dislyte Esper Guide.

Full details on the boost gained by Brynn at each level of Esper Ascension can be seen below.

  • Phase 1: ATK +70
  • Phase 2: DEF +70
  • Phase 3: Upgraded Advent of the Goddess
  • Phase 4: SPD +5
  • Phase 5: ATK +15%
  • Phase 6: ACC +20%

Brynn Divine Resonance

Brynn’s Divine Resonance should allocate all of her energy to HP. Using this, you should activate these Talents for this Esper:

  • [HP] Targeted Constraints: Each surviving enemy grants ACC +2%
  • [HP] Law of Conjunction: When granting a buff, each buff restores one’s own HP equal to 1% max HP, up to 3% max HP per turn
  • [HP] Crisis Response: If HP is below 50%, all allies’ damage +2% up to +6%
  • [HP] Self Sacrifice: When attacking, consumes 5% max HP (won’t die), and deals True Damage equal to 50% of consumed HP

Brynn Relics

As a Support Esper, the faster Brynn acts to buff the team or debuff enemies, the more likely she’ll get in before their turn. As she also has abilities that slow down or debilitate opponents, this can allow her to quickly get the advantage. HP and defense are also vital for Support Espers, they both help keep them in the fight for as long as possible.

Therefore, Brynn’s Relics’ characteristics should prioritize HP, DEF, and SPD. In addition, you should look to apply the following sets:

  • Wind Walker: SPD +25%
  • Fiery Incandescence: C.RATE +20%

Although it may feel odd to add a critical rate Relic, it’s important to note that some of her skills can still do some good damage. Advent of the Goddess, in particular, can do a huge amount of damage, and so increasing the likelihood of this being a critical hit makes her more likely to take down opponents in her turn.
