Is Yamato a Good Esper in Dislyte?

Yamato is a Support Esper who has an array of buffs and debuffs at his disposal to help his team out. He can also be a bit of a damage dealer under the right build with abilities that see their damage scale off of HP and his unique buff, Rashomon, can be consumed to deal additional True Damage.

With his first ability, Death Grasp, he deals a small amount of damage to a single target and has a chance to Stun them. His second ability, Thunder Surge, attacks all enemies, has a chance to inflict Buff Blocker, and consumes any Rashmon stacks he has for additional True Damage.

His third ability, Abyssal Crossing, is the primary source of team buffs. Indeed, it grants all allies ATK Up and DEF Up and then grants Yamato a certain number of Rashmon stacks based on the number of buffs on all allies. For each stack of Rashomon that Yamato has, his C. RATE increases by 10%.

Yamato Equipment

There are a couple of different routes you can go down with Yamato’s build. Adding in additional Stun chances can be useful for extra support, SPD will help with ability cycling, HP will boost damage and survivability, and ACC will help debuffs land. Therefore, you should look to apply the following sets:

  • Tyranny: Damage dealt has a 20% chance of Stunning the target
  • Wind: SPD +25%
  • Recurve: ACC +25%
  • Grove: HP +25%

Lastly, Yamato’s Equipment characteristics should prioritize HP BONUS, ACC, and SPD.
