Is Mavis a Good Esper in Dislyte?

Mavis is a Support who excels at keeping her allies alive and boosting their C. DMG. As such, she works great when paired up with Espers who have a C. RATE chance. This is all made possible by the serious amount of unique buffs she has in her kit:

  • Graveless – Cannot take action, be selected, or be healed. SPD –15%.
  • Carnival Heat – Effective in subsequent rounds. Max 50 stacks. If Archibald is present, attacks all enemies for every 10 stacks reached. Damage: 100% ATK. This attack always lands a critical hit. Recovers HP for every 10 Carnival Heat stacks on Mavis. Healing: 10% Max HP (max 30%). Upon reaching 50 stacks, damage increases to 999% ATK, up to 100% Max HP.
  • Soul Parade – C. DMG +90%. RESIST +30%. Cannot take damage or be healed. If Mavis is alive when this effect expires, it turns into Graveless; otherwise, all buffs on the carrier are cleared and the carrier takes True Damage. True Damage: 100% HP. Won’t be replaced upon repeated acquisition. After Mavis falls, this effect is removed upon taking 30 hits (multi-stage attacks only count as one hit).
  • Holiday Rest – D. DMG +60%. Chance of taking critical hits +100%. Removes this effect upon gaining Graveless.

Her abilities include Spirit Strike, which delivers a single-target attack while boosting her AP. Undertaker, a passive skill, bestows allies with increased Critical Rate at the start of her turn and acts as a lifeline, preventing teammates from dying by granting them Graveless when they face lethal damage.

Furthermore, her Soul Parade ability is an area-of-effect attack that inflicts debuffs on enemies, transforms Graveless into Soul Parade for teammates, and grants Holiday Rest to the remaining ones. Mavis effectively safeguards and amplifies her team’s damage, making her a valuable asset in any encounter.

Mavis Equipment

To make the most of Mavis you need to ensure she stays alive to get her huge number of buffs out and ensure she can use her third ability more often so as to remove Graveless from allies and boost their damage. Therefore, you should look to apply the following sets:

  • Ocean: 35% chance of reducing all ability cooldowns by 1 at the start of an Esper’s turn
  • Shield: Damage taken -12%. After taking damage, if the attacker is non-Shimmer and not at an elemental advantage, damage taken is further reduced by 6% for 1 turn

Lastly, Mavis’ Equipment characteristics should prioritize ACC, HP BONUS, and SPD.
