Originating from Ymir, the first being and giant from Norse mythology, Embla is a Legendary Inferno Fighter Esper. She is capable of dealing huge damage with her unique debuff stack and also inflicting the enemy with consistent Bleeds and Diseased debuffs.

Is Embla a Good Esper in Dislyte?
Embla is a pretty stacked Fighter Esper when it comes to the debuffs she is able to hit the enemy with. In particular, every attack she makes is able to afflict the target with her unique debuff called Corrupted Seed. When afflicted by Corrupted Seed, the target can become Diseased whenever they take a hit with a chance also for the attacker to dispel 1 of their debuffs.
When Corrupted Seed is detonated, the target takes damage and can become afflicted with Bleed. Corrupted Seed stacks are detonated by using her second ability, Chaotic Thrust, which also steals a buff from the enemy. They are also automatically detonated when the carrier dies or reaches 8 stacks with auto detonation also causing 2 of the carriers allies to become infected with Corrupted Seed.
The Corrupted Seed debuff truly is a game-changer for any team that Embla is on. It allows her entire team to make use of it due to the carrier being impacted whenever they take damage. This can in particular make Embla one of the Best Espers for Apep as it allows almost every attack to hit the enemy with Diseased to stop them from healing.
Embla Abilities
In battle, an Esper will utilize their abilities in order to deal damage to the enemy and support their team. Tattered Sword
- Level 1: Attacks 1 enemy. Damage: 100% ATK. If the enemy is not afflicted with Corrupted Seed, inflicts them with 1 Corrupted Seed stack. If the enemy is afflicted with Corrupted Seed, performs a pursuit attack on another random enemy with Tattered Sword (triggers once per turn).
- Level 2: Damage increased to 105%.
- Level 3: Damage increased to 110%.
- Level 4: Damage increased to 115%
- Level 5: Damage increased to 120%.
Chaotic Thrust
- Level 1: Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Damage per hit: 90% ATK. Steals 1 buff. The 2nd hit detonates the enemy’s Corrupted Seed. Infects another enemy with Corrupted Seed.
- Level 2: Damage increased to 95%.
- Level 3: Damage increased to 100%.
- Level 4: Damage increased to 110%.
- Level 5: Cooldown reduced by 1 turn.
Desolate Flower
- Level 1: Attacks 1 enemy 2 times. Damage per hit: 120% ATK. Each hit has a 60% chance of inflicting DEF Down for 2 turns. Inflicts 1 Corrupted Seed stack.
- Level 2: Damage increased to 125%.
- Level 3: Trigger Chance increased to 80%.
- Level 4: Damage increased to 130%.
- Level 5: Cooldown reduced by 1 turn.
Embla Captain Ability
Increases ally C. RATE in Point War by 30%.
Embla Ascension

Embla Resonance

Embla Divinate
You can collect Divinates for an Esper to increase their Divinate tier up to a maximum tier of 6. You can learn more about this feature in our Dislyte Esper Guide. The below shows the buffs Embla receives at her maximum Divinate tier and maximum Divinate level:
- ATK +900
- HP +3,815
- Base ATK, Base DEF, and Base HP +30%
- When the target is debuffed, Tattered Sword has a 100% chance of inflicting Bleed for 2 turns.
Embla Equipment
To make the most Embla you really want to make sure you are afflicting as many enemies as possible with Corrupted Seed. This can be done by increasing your counterattack chance. In addition, she is capable of doing some big crit hits so increasing this further will also be helpful for your DPS. Therefore, you should look to apply the following sets:
- Thunder: C. DMG +50% and an extra +30% when attacking Bosses
- Avatara: 25% chance to counterattack when taking damage.
- Fiery: C.RATE +20%
Lastly, Embla’s Equipment characteristics should prioritize C. RATE, ATK BONUS, C. DMG, and SPD.
