In this Pokemon Unite Guide, we take a closer look at the Supporter Pokemon, Wigglytuff, checking out her moveset and recommending some of the best builds for her. Wigglytuff joined the Pokemon franchise in Gen 1 and as such is no stranger to most players of the game.
However, in Pokemon Unite, Wigglytuff is a highly underrated character despite the fact she can be ridiculously strong with the proper skill and item setup. This guide will let you in on a few tricks you can pull with Wigglytuff and which builds to run to maximize your win rate with this Pokemon. Stick around and find out if Wigglytuff is the character for you!
Is Wigglytuff Good in Pokemon Unite?

Early on in the game, it’s crucial to support your teammates in leveling up and harvesting Wild Pokemon. Pound will be a helpful tool for farming that will ensure you receive the last hit while also delivering consistent damage. Also, you should try to avoid going overboard and being overly aggressive because Defense Curl’s cooldown is too long for you to use frequently.
Wigglytuff’s kit lacks the standard heals and shields found on other Supports on the roster. Instead, she makes use of damage and disables to give her team the upper hand. Although her damage output isn’t as high as that of other Pokemon in the roster, if you can effectively chain your moves together, you may apply pressure to opponents and create opportunities for quick knockdowns.
Wigglytuff’s Rollout move gives her mobility and protection while providing excellent disruption possibilities. During a battle, use it to knock up and stun several opponents along her path. It makes for a fantastic combo when combined with a Double Slap or Dazzling Gleam since it positions adversaries perfectly for your team. Rollout also gives Wigglytuff respectable shielding and temporarily renders her unstoppable, enabling you to easily run away from lost battles.
Wigglytuff is strong enough to take several blows during a skirmish, but getting involved in a fight with All-Rounders or Defenders is not advised. If you engage in extended combat with Pokemon like Aegislash and Lucario, their strong burst abilities can overcome Wigglytuff’s disables and resistance. Additionally, Machamp has the ability to learn Submission, which makes him resistant to crowd control, making it easy to just run up to Wigglytuff and devastate her.
Wigglytuff’s passive ability is Cute Charm. This makes an enemy temporarily charmed when struck by an assault from close range. Enamored foes are seduced and run towards Wigglytuff against their will. This effect can only occur once every 10 seconds. Wigglytuff’s basic attacks become boosted every 3 attacks, and it makes the attack deal increased damage while also stunning the enemy for a moment.
Pokemon Unite Wigglytuff Best Build

The first move Wigglytuff gains is Pound. With this, Wigglytuff slaps the area in front of her two times, damaging enemies caught in the AoE and slowing them for a brief moment.
Move 1 Upgrade Options
The first upgrade option for move 1 is Double Slap. This move launches a torrent of slaps in a cone shape in front of Wigglytuff that slows foes by 45% for 1.5 seconds and hits them between 3 and 5 times. The level 10 upgrade of this skill increases the damage dealt to between 4 and 6 times instead.
The other upgrade option for move 1 is Dazzling Gleam. When used, Wigglytuff releases a burst of fairy energy that deals moderate damage in a cone before re-casting the same ability causing heavy damage to enemies caught. Post-level 10, this move also makes it so enemies hit by the first flash have their movement speed slowed.
Both moves are good, Dazzling Gleam post its upgrade brings a little bit more utility and support capability to Wigglytuff’s kit. However, Double Slap is overall just better and does more damage even at the minimum number of slaps.

Move 2 Upgrade Options
Moving on, we have the second move which is Defense Curl. When used, Wigglytuff gains a shield with a value of 25% of her max HP and rolls forward a short distance, hitting foes and knocking up opponents.
The first upgrade option for move 2 is Rollout. This move sees Wigglytuff roll forward to deal damage and toss foes into the air for 0.5 seconds while gaining a 25% maximum HP shield for 1 second and becoming unstoppable for 1.2 seconds. While rolling, hitting an obstruction will cause Wigglytuff to reverse direction up to five times and will also cause the cooldown for Pound, Double Slap, or Dazzling Gleam to be reset.
Sing is the second upgrade option which causes Wigglytuff to start singing. This causes enemies surrounding her to be slowed by 10% for 2 seconds for every “Note,” Wigglytuff’s movement speed is increased by 30% for 2.5 seconds. As the song reaches four notes, enemies will be put to sleep for 1.5 seconds and will have their Defense and Special Defense reduced by 25% for 1.25 seconds.
Once again both options are great and fulfill different objectives. Sing is the obvious Support move that combines well with Dazzling Gleam. However, the build that wins the most games consistently is a surprisingly aggressive one, combining Rollout with Double slap.
Wigglytuff’s Unite Move

Wigglytuff gains Starlight Recital at level 8. This move gives her and her adjacent teammates a shield for 2.5 seconds. She also becomes unstoppable for 3 seconds, removes any status conditions from her affected comrades, and provides them immunity to crowd control for as long as the shield is active.
Wigglytuff’s Best Skill Loadout
The best Wigglytuff loadout is pairing Double Slap with Rollout. This loadout offers the best damage output Wigglytuff can achieve while still being able to provide some resemblance of its supportive role thanks to Starlight Recital that will bail your team out of a tight spot on demand.
Best Held Items for Wigglytuff in Pokemon Unite
Combining Exp Share and Buddy Barrier is a great way to elevate Wigglytuff’s supportive capabilities while also increasing her own survivability. The build we suggest is very aggressive in nature and therefore these items somewhat make up for this. Throw in a Focus Band to increase Wigglytuff’s survivability.
