Originating from Yang Jian, a god from Chinese folklore who possessed a third truth-seeing eye in the middle of his forehead, Yun Chuan is a Fighter Esper with a dog called Screamer that he can call into battle to assist him with powerful damage.

Is Yun Chuan a Good Esper in Dislyte?
Yun Chuan is an excellent DPS Fighter Esper that can attack targets multiple times. This, in particular, makes him one of the Best Espers for the Fafnir Ritual Miracle. In addition to his raw damage, he also has a number of useful buffs and debuffs that he can distribute during battle. This includes being able to inflict the enemy with Miss Rate Up, Sear, and SPD Down, grant himself Immunity and grant his team with SPD Up.
However, it is his Passive ability, Whisltig Stance, which is the particular highlight of his kit. When Yun Chuan is built with this ability in mind he can be a huge thorn in an enemy’s side. Whenever he critically hits, the target is inflicted with Third-Eye Sear which increases their Miss Rate by 15%.
On top of this, his dog assists him when attacking enemies that are afflicted with the Third-Eye Seal Debuff for damage that ignores their defense. In addition, they are afflicted with Sear for 2 turns, which will greatly increase the damage they take, and he also steals a buff from them. Obviously, to get the most from this you will want to build Yun Chuan to have a 100% C. RATE.
Yun Chuan Abilities
In battle, an Esper will utilize their abilities in order to deal damage to the enemy and support their team. All Dislyte Esper Abilities start at Level 1 and can be increased further depending on the ability. Each additional level will improve the ability in a certain way. Roaring Thurst
- Level 1: Attacks 1 enemy 3 times. Damage per hit: 30% ATK. 40% chance of inflicting Miss Rate Up for 2 turns.
- Level 2: Damage increased to 35%.
- Level 3: Trigger Chance increased to 50%.
- Level 4: Damage increased to 40%
- Level 5: Trigger Chance increased to 60%.
Whistling Stance [PASSIVE]
- Level 1: Critical hits inflict Third-Eye Seal on the target for 1 turn. When attacking enemies with Third-Eye Seal, summon Screamer (Yun Chuan’s dog) to launch an assist attack (triggers 1 time per turn). Screamer’s Damage: 16% ATK. Ignores DEF. Steals a buff from the target, and inflicts Sear on them for 2 turns.
- Level 2: Damage increased to 18%.
- Level 3: Damage increased to 20%.
- Level 4: Damage increased to 22%.
- Level 5: Damage increased to 25%.
Guardian Lord
- Level 1: Attacks all enemies 2 times. Damage per hit 45% ATK. Inflicts SPD Down on all enemies for 2 turns. Grants Immunity to Yun Chuan for 2 turns. Grants SPD Up to all allies for 2 turns.
- Level 2: Damage increased to 50%.
- Level 3: Damage increased to 55%.
- Level 3: Damage increased to 60%.
- Level 3: Cooldown reduced by 1 turn.
Yun Chuan Captain Ability
Increases ally ATK in Ritual Miracle, Sonic Miracle, Desolate Lands, and Sentinel Hunt by 40%.
Yun Chuan Ascension
All Espers in Dislyte can be further ascended to improve their stats starting from level 1. They can then be ascended again at levels 10/20/30/40/50 up to a total of 6 Ascensions. For more details on Ascending your Espers, check out our Dislyte Esper Guide.

Yun Chuan Resonance

Yun Chuan Divinate
You can collect Divinates for an Esper to increase their Divinate tier up to a maximum tier of 6. You can learn more about this feature in our Dislyte Esper Guide. The below shows the buffs Yun Chuan receives at her maximum Divinate tier and maximum Divinate level:
- ATK +900
- HP +3.815
- Base ATK, Base DEF, and Base HP +30%
- At the start of a round, the bearer has a 100% chance of gaining ATK Up for 1 turn
Yun Chuan Equipment
Yun Chuan is at his best when you are able to make full use of his passive, Whistling Stance, by consistently making critical hits. This also lends itself well to getting his C. DMG up. In addition, you should not forget about his ACC to ensure that the debuffs he can distribute are hitting their mark. Therefore, you should look to apply the following sets:
- Thunder: C. DMG +50% and an extra +30% when attacking Bosses
- Fiery: C.RATE +20%
Lastly, Yun Chuan’s Equipment characteristics should prioritize C. DMG, C. RATE, ATK BONUS, ACC, and SPD.
