Is Joan of Arc a good general in Evony?

When you first start Evony, Joan of Arc makes a good choice for both Monster Hunting and Mounted PvP. However, as you unlock better Generals, you will want to replace her quickly and not upgrade her much at all. She may prove useful again as an Assistant General, however again this won’t last too long as you build up a roster of strong Generals.

Her Special Skill, Holy Light, adds a good amount of HP to your Mounted Troops. This will be useful in keeping them alive in tough battles. Indeed, it can also be helpful against monsters to reduce your wounded rate which may allow you to economically take out higher-level monsters earlier than you would have otherwise.

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Increases Mounted Troop HP by 35% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Joan of Arc will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Mounted Troop Defense +10% and HP +10%.
• 2 Star – Mounted Troop Attack +10%.
• 3 Star – Troops HP +10%.
• 4 Star – Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense +10% and HP +10%.
• 5 Star – Mounted Troop Attack +20%.

Big Prey Hunter

This build is ideal for players who are looking to take down big monster prey. It sacrifices everything in favor of mounted attack via equipment refines and skill books. This build will ensure you do maximum damage to boss monsters on the first hit. This will minimize your losses and allow you to take on higher-level bosses for better rewards.

• Skill Books:
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack – Mounted Attack +25%
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack Against Monster – Mounted Attack Against Monster +45%
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%
• Equipment Refines:
• Spear – Mounted Troop Attack % x4
• Armor – Mounted Troop Defense % x4
• Boots – Mounted Troop Defense % x4

Mounted PvP

Mounted PvP can be very useful in the early and late stages of the game. Early game, players will have huge, mounted marches which you can destroy with your higher mounted buff.

Late game you will start to come across keeps set up with ground troop defenses, mounted troops annihilate them. This build will maximize your mounted attack and mounted HP for a mounted PvP march.

• Skill Books:
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop HP – Mounted HP +25%
• Lvl 4 March Size – March Size +12%
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack – Mounted Attack +25%
• Equipment Refines:
• Spear – Mounted Troop Attack % x4
• Armor – Mounted Troop Defense % x4
• Boots – Mounted Troop Defense % x4
• Helmet – Mounted Troop HP % x4
• Leg Armor – Mounted Troop HP % x4
• Ring – Mounted Troop Attack % x4

Looter Hunter Hybrid

This build will allow you to take down big boss monsters whilst also maximizing your loot return. It replaces the march size skill book with the luck skill book to increase the double item drop rate. This will of course decrease your damage output slightly. However, the double drops are good compensation.

• Skill Books:
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack Against Monster – Mounted Attack Against Monster +45%
• Lvl 4 Luck – Double Items Drop Rate +18%
• Lvl 4 Mounted Troop Attack – Mounted Attack +25%
• Equipment Refines:
• Spear – Mounted Troop Attack % x4
• Armor – Mounted Troop Defense % x4
• Boots – Mounted Troop Defense % x4
• Helmet – Mounted Troop HP % x4
