Photon is a powerful cosmic blaster character in Marvel Strike Force. She is the fifth member of the A-Force and a Secret Defenders member as well. Definitely a valuable asset in many game modes, especially in Arena, where her electromagnetic abilities can truly shine.

Is Photon Good in Marvel Strike Force

Photon is a versatile character. She can be used both with A-Force and Secret Defenders teams. In the Arena, she is a valuable asset to the Secret Defenders team, as she can deal a lot of damage and debuff enemies. On the other hand, in War Offense, she is a better fit for the A-Force team. Her teammates will receive additional heals in this mode.

Photon can also be part of Dark Dimension and Bio nodes teams. Her area damage abilities will be very useful in these game modes. Lastly, with the right allies, she can be a good addition in Blitz mode, for example as the fifth member of an A-Force team.

Photon has a Charged mechanic similar to Thor’s. After accumulating 5 Charged, she launches a powerful area attack that deals damage and increases the speed bar of Photon and her allies with the same tags. In addition, her ability to Blind enemies is also a huge advantage.

All characters have a range of abilities that determine how useful they are in different game modes and how well they synergize with other characters. Let’s take a look at Photon’s powerful abilities at their maximum level:

Light Show [Basic] [Max Level: 7]

• Attack primary target for 360% damage + 5% of the target’s Max Health + clear 3 positive effects.
• Gain +1 Charged.

Aurora Blast [Special] [Max Level: 7]

• Attack primary and adjacent targets for 360% damage + apply Blind and Slow + clear all Deflect and Minor Deflect.
• On War Offense, heal self and all Secret Defender and A-Force allies for 30% of this character’s Max Health.
• This attack gains +1,000% Extra Focus and cannot be blocked.

Full Spectrum Flash [Ultimate] [Max Level: 7]

• Attack all enemies for 450% damage + apply Offense Down for 2 turns.
• Apply Defense Up for 2 turns to self and all allies.
• Apply Speed Up for 2 turns to self and all Secret Defender and A-Force allies.
• Generate 1 Ability Energy for self and all Secret Defender and A-Force allies.

Radiant Light [Passive] [Max Level: 5]

• On Spawn, gain 2 Charged.
• When an A-Force or Secret Defender ally uses an Ultimate ability, gain +1 Charged.
• On any turn, if this character has 5 or more Charged:
  • Attack all enemies for 360% damage.
  • Fill Speed Bar for self and all Secret Defender and A-Force allies by 20%.
  • Lose 5 Charged.
• Lower the Accuracy of enemies with Blind by an additional 100%.
• The Speed of this character and each Secret Defender and A-Force ally can only be reduced by Slow.
• Gain +30% Damage and +15% Max Health.
• Secret Defender and A-Force allies gain +30% Damage and +15% Max Health.
• In Arena:
  • Gain an additional +30% Damage.
  • Secret Defender allies gain an additional +30% Damage.
• On War Offense:
  • On Turn, heal self and all A-Force allies for 5% of this character’s Max Health.
  • This character and all A-Force allies Speed Bar cannot be reduced until this character takes a turn.

Best T4 for Photon

It’s Photon’s T4 abilities where her big power spikes lie, so it’s important to choose which ones to upgrade wisely. Here’s our list of T4 priorities for Photon in Marvel Strike Force:

1. Passive (Radiant Light) – Photon’s Passive skill is the one that contains its bonus for Arena mode, strengthening your team, so it’s the first one you should upgrade with T4 materials if you intend to use it in this mode. The entire Secret Defenders team will deal significantly more damage with this at T4.

2. Ultimate (Full Spectrum Flash) – Photon’s Ultimate skill is the next one you should upgrade with T4 materials after her Passive skill. In addition to increasing area damage, it applies Defense Up and Speed Up for two turns to the entire team. If you don’t intend to use her in Arena mode, this could be your T4 priority.

Best ISO-8 for Photon

When it comes to selecting an ISO-8 class for Photon in Marvel Strike Force, the best choice is Striker. The Striker class increases Photon’s damage and allows her to perform extra attacks. These attacks will rapidly increase the character’s Charged count. Additionally, your attack has a chance to clear buffs on enemies.

You can also consider the Skirmisher class to increase your Focus. Consequently, the chance to apply negative effects and remove the opposing team’s positive effects also increases.

Best Photon Team in Marvel Strike Force

Photon has two main teams: the Secret Defenders and A-Force. The Secret Defenders are Black Cat, Ghost Rider (Robbie), Ms. Marvel (Hard Light), and Doctor Strange. This team excels in Arena mode, where each member receives bonuses. However, they can also be used in other modes thanks to their powerful abilities.

A-Force consists of Captain Marvel, Jessica Jones, Nico Minoru, and Spider-Woman. This team is better suited for War Offense mode. Since its members have been in the game longer, they can also be used to complete a Blitz team.

Photon’s abilities do not have any character-specific interactions, so she can be added to other teams without losing too much of her kit. Indeed, her unique abilities and effects make her a good addition to Bio character nodes.
