Marvel Strike Force X-Treme X-Men Team Guide

The X-Treme X-Men Team in Marvel Strike Force features some of the most iconic and powerful mutants that the game has to offer. This team is made to destroy enemies in Raids and they manage to do that perfectly with a team of Cyclops, Gambit, Nightcrawler, Forge, and Sunspot, who gel together with some great synergies. In this Marvel Strike Force Guide, we will cover all you need to know about this and provide some specific strategies you can use to get the most out of them.

Is the X-Treme X-Men Team Good?

Marvel Strike Force X-Treme X-Men Team Guide

The X-Treme X-Men Team is an excellent choice for Raids, as they have a balanced mix of offensive and defensive buffs. They can also manipulate the team’s speed and disable the most dangerous skills of the enemy team. In addition, they can also be used to great effect in Blitz, War, and Cosmic Crucible.

One of the key features that makes this team so effective against enemies in Raids is their ability to attack multiple times out of turn. Cyclops, Gambit, and Forge all have passive skills that trigger these additional attacks. This means that most of the time, whenever an enemy takes a turn, they will face an attack from one of them.

Cyclops’ ultimate is a devastating attack that hits all enemies and the more Charged he has, the more damage he will deal. This is where Forge comes in, using their Ultimate to give +10 Charged to Cyclops for those devastating blows. Moreover, Sunspot’s passive also grants Ability Energy to the team, allowing Cyclops to use his ultimate more often. As a result, Cyclops can easily wipe out most enemies due to the support from the rest of the MSF X-Treme X-Men Team.

ISO-8 Class and T4 Priority

The ISO-8 class and the T4 priority are important factors to consider when building and optimizing your Marvel Strike Force X-Treme X-Men Team. Here are our recommendations for each character:

Nightcrawler

Raider: Nightcrawler’s innate damage, multi-target attacks, and crit-chance boost make him a powerhouse when paired up with Raider Class. Plus, his passive fuels allies’ Speed Bars with each crit.

T4 priority: This is one of the characters with the most impactful T4 abilities. Consider maxing out your passive, ultimate, and finally the basic.

Cyclops

Raider: The Raider class will amplify Cyclops’ Ultimate damage on all enemies.

T4 priority: Cyclops’ ultimate is his main source of damage, especially alongside Forge, which is why this is his T4 priority. Next, his passive is the most important, as it helps increase the damage of his ultimate in Raids.

Forge

Striker: With the Striker Class, Forge empowers X-Men allies with Regeneration and Deflect with his follow-up attack, making them a resilient force.

T4 priority: Forge has two important skills to maximize, greatly improving the protection of his allies. His Ultimate applies Evade and Safeguard to his team in Raids, so buffs cannot be removed while his Special removes Heal Block before ensuring his allies are healed.

Gambit

Raider: This class’s emphasis on critical hits aligns perfectly with Gambit’s abilities, turning him into a powerhouse for both damage and team support.

T4 priority: Gambit’s passive is essential, as it causes him to increase his speed bar on each enemy’s turn. This greatly increases his damage output in Raids and Cosmic Crucible.

Sunspot

Striker: Sunspot’s Follow-Up attack grants him a bonus Charged, which empowers both his damage output and his team’s ability energy reserves. The more Charged he accumulates, the stronger he and his allies become!

T4 priority: Sunspot’s passive is the team’s most important ability, as at maximum level it guarantees a lot of ability energy. After that, his Ultimate also grants Ability Energy when it is at maximum level.

Countering the X-Treme X-Men Team in Marvel Strike Force

The X-Treme X-Men Team is at its best when in Raids, however, they are also not be sniffed at when used in either War or Cosmic Crucible. As such, if you face them in any of these game modes, you’ll need a good strategy to overcome them. Here are some tips and suggestions on how to do exactly this!

  • Priority: The X-Treme X-Men’s two main targets are Gambit, as the lead damage dealer, and Forge, a support with revive mechanics. Eliminating Forge first to revive the revive potential, and then Gambit to remove their damage potential from the equation is the best way to defeat them.
  • Slow: Nightcrawler’s passive means that only Slow works against the X-Treme X-Men’s Speed Bars. This way, characters or teams that use Slow to control the enemy team’s speed will be able to maintain use of this strategy.
  • Heavy Crowd Control: Applying Ability Block on Forge and Stun on Gambit are great opportunities for a team to maintain control of the battlefield. An example of a team capable of doing this is the Superior Six Team.
  • Eternals with Spider-Man 2099 and Spider Weaver: This combination of characters is quite powerful if you are having difficulty facing the X-Treme X-Men. The combination of Tangled Web’s control with the brute strength and reduction of the Eternals’ Speed Bar makes it possible to beat even more powerful teams in numbers.
