Blissey is a recognizable Pokemon from the very first generation, so it is no wonder that she made it into the game, right at the start, when the developers needed a Support Pokemon. Blissey has been through a few nerfs and buffs since the game was launched but she still remains an extremely viable Healer for anyone that wants to use her.

Is Blissey Good in Pokemon Unite?
Blissey is a Support Pokemon and therefore you should pick a lane and stay there during the early game. This is because Blissey’s kit has a lot of moves that boost ally Pokemon and obviously lacks the lethality or mobility you would expect from an Attacker.
Every few seconds, Blissey’s basic attacks get boosted. As such, Blissey will be able to deliver decent damage, enabling you to trade blows with foes or capture/steal wild Pokemon. Indeed, Blissey can inflict respectable early-game damage with a combination of her boosted attacks and the Pound move.
However, as a Support Pokemon, she can’t do too much damage on her own. Instead, Blissey is supposed to support damage-dealing teammates, enabling them to remain in the fight for much longer. Be at the side of damage-dealing Pokemon from your team, such as your Attackers, All-Rounders, and Speedsters, and utilize your healing and buffs to give them the upper hand in team fights.
Bliss Assistance, Blissey’s Unite Move, is a potent support ability that not only strengthens allies’ defense, by providing shields and allowing them to withstand damage, but also improves their offensive potential by raising their ATK and Sp ATK.
When activated, Blissey will not only strengthen teammates but also knock back any enemies in her path, allowing you to forcibly reposition the other team to their disadvantage. If you time this Unite Move well, you may save an ally and change the battle’s momentum in your team’s favor!
Pokemon Unite Blissey Best Build
Blissey’s passive ability is Natural Cure. Blissey will automatically cleanse any debuffs placed on her every 6 seconds. This ability procs constantly, whether the Pokemon is currently debuffed or not. Blissey’s basic attacks become boosted every time Natural Cure activates. The first move Blissey gains is Pound. Blissey slams the ground in a designated direction, damaging and slowing enemies caught in the AoE.
Move 1 Upgrade Options
The first upgrade option for move 1 is Egg Bomb. Blissey hurls an egg at a select location which explodes on impact with the ground, damaging and pushing back enemies caught. You can hold up to 2 charges of this ability.
The other upgrade option for move 1, Helping Hand, is a buff attack instead. Blissey grants movement basic attack speed for herself and all allies within the AoE, which centers on Blissey. All of Blissey’s auto attacks are boosted during this buff.
Both of these moves are fine, but you should always go for Egg Bomb. When you pair up Egg Bomb, with the Soft Boiled upgrade of move 2, they both start sharing charges, and the total amount of charges that Blissey can hold becomes 3.
Additionally, the cooldown between getting another charge becomes DRASTICALLY lower. Meaning that Blissey can spam Egg Bomb and Soft Boiled to dominate the enemy team, this synergy is too good to pass up so Helping Hand, while a nice buff, becomes pretty much obsolete.
Move 2 Upgrade Options
Moving on, we have the second move which is Heal Pulse. Blissey continually restores HP for herself as well as the HP of a designated ally.
The first upgrade option for move 2 is a recovery move, Soft Boiled. Blissey throws an egg to an ally, healing Blissey and the designated ally. In addition, it will heal them every second for a couple of pulses afterward. You can hold 2 charges of this move in reserve.
The second upgrade is a buff instead. Safeguard makes Blissey grant both the targeted ally and herself a shield, purifying crowd control abilities and making them both immune to crowd control until the shield is removed.
As I mentioned earlier, the combination of Soft Boiled and Egg Bomb is THE best way to go when playing Blissey, so Safeguard is pretty irrelevant.
Blissey’s Unite Move
Blissey gains Bliss Assistance at level 8. Blissey dashes to the designated ally to give them an egg, granting that ally a shield and increasing their ATK and Sp ATK for a couple of seconds. Blissey also takes 50% of the damage that an ally would normally receive for the duration of this buff. While dashing to the ally, Blissey throws enemies it runs over into the air. When reaching the target ally, she deals damage to nearby enemies.
Blissey’s Best Skill Loadout
The best Blissey loadout is pairing Egg Bomb with Soft Boiled. This loadout offers the best damage output and healing utility. And the unique synergy of these skills makes the cooldown extremely low.
Best Held Items for Blissey in Pokemon Unite
The Exp Share and Buddy Barrier combo is a great way to improve Blissey’s already great potential for Supporting her team. Best Battle Items for Blissey in Pokemon Unite
The best option for Blissey’s battle item in Pokemon Unite is X Speed. Blissey does not have any mobility options, outside of Bliss Assistance letting you “teleport” to allies, which can be used in a pinch as an escape tool. Therefore, X Speed is a great way to engage and disengage enemies or reach enemies who need healing or protection when Bliss Assistance is on cooldown.
