Is Zoroark Good in Pokemon Unite?

When Zoroark reaches level 7, it experiences a huge power boost. At this point, it may access stronger mobility moves and dish out tons of damage thus increasing its lethality. It will be essential to soak up as much EXP as you can, especially at the beginning of the game, if you want Zoroark to become a late-game menace.

To prevent making mistakes and losing momentum in the battle, try your best to keep your aggression in check. Choosing the Jungler position is strongly advised. Zoroark will be able to gather Wild Pokemon spawns in the jungle region unimpeded and get EXP much more quickly as a result. As the game goes on, it also creates strong gank opportunities because of its potent dash moves.

Fury Swipes and Slash, Zoroark’s basic abilities, provide respectable mobility and damage that are an extremely welcome crutch early in the game. It is better to put them to use against Wild Pokemon in the jungle rather than going for human opponents in the early game because Zoroark is quite the glass cannon at this point in the game.

Fury Swipes two activations unleash a huge burst of damage to a single target. It’s very useful against buff camps, or the enemy jungler if you run into a 1v1 situation. Once Zoroark reaches level 5, you can choose between two potent dash attacks that do a lot of damage. Every move has a unique mechanic that can enhance your play style. It is a great tool in this assassin’s moveset.

Pokemon Unite Zoroark Moveset

Zoroark’s passive ability is Illusion where he can take the shape of any wild Pokémon or a member of the opposing team. When Zoroark takes damage, uses an auto attack or move, tries to score, or returns to base, they revert to their original appearance.

The illusion’s activation results in 0.4 seconds of the Invulnerable status effect. There is a 15s cooldown on this power. Zoroark’s attack becomes boosted every third strike, dealing bonus damage. The first move Zoroark gains is Slash. It causes Zoroark to dash in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies hit.

Move 1 Upgrade Options

The first upgrade option for move 1 is Shadow Claw. It causes Zoroark to dash in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies, and stunning them for a short time. Any enemy hit near this move’s maximum range will be thrown as opposed to being stunned.

The other upgrade option for move 1, Cut, makes Zoroark dash in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies, and restoring its HP.

Both upgrades are quite simple! But that simplicity doesn’t mean they are not effective. They both are great. It all comes down to your preference. If you, like me, are uncomfortable not having any lifesteal or heals then get Cut. If you prefer crowd control over self-sustain then get Shadow Claw.

Move 2 Upgrade Options

Pokemon Unite Zoroark Gameplay

Moving on, we have the second move which is Fury Swipes. Zoroark dashes in the designated direction, dealing damage to enemies. If the dash hits an enemy, for a short time, this ability can be cast again.

The first upgrade option for move 2 is Night Slash. For 2s after activation, it changes the user’s normal movement to dash attacks. After performing a dash attack, the user’s next auto attack changes to a unique boosted attack. Whenever Zoroark hits enemies with other moves or unique boosted attacks, this move’s effect duration is reset to 2s and the user is able to use Night Slash again.

This move only ends if the user drops this “combo”. If Zoroark hits enemies six times with this ability, it jumps into the air becoming invincible and then dealing damage to enemies where it lands. Zoroark recovers HP for each enemy hit.

The second upgrade is Feint Attack. Zoroark dashes in the direction specified delivering damage to foes and resetting all of its cooldowns. The user can perform this move again and return to the spot where the dash began for up to 3s, dealing damage in that area and leaving another mark. This can be chained up to four times. After the 4th use, Zoroark leaps at the targeted enemy and deals damage to them before landing in a designated spot.

Right now Night Slash seems to outperform Feint Attack in every meaningful way.

Zoroark’s Unite Move

Zoroark gains Nightfall Daze at level 9. With this, Zoroark releases dark shockwaves around itself, dealing damage to enemies hit. Three shockwaves are released, and each one has an increasingly larger area of effect. The user is immune to disables such as stuns while releasing the shockwaves.

Zoroark Best Skill Loadout

Without a doubt, the best skills combo you can pick for Zoroark is Shadow Claw and Night Slash. This offers Zoroark crazy mobility while dishing out damage that can easily demolish the enemy backlines. You can swap out Shadow Claw for Cut if you want, I prefer Shadow Claw simply because it seems like a waste to have 2 moves that restore your HP.

Best Held Items for Zoroark in Pokemon Unite

Scope Lens and Muscle Band combo is a great way to boost your attack so you can more effectively assassinate your enemies. Throw in Float Stone for the great synergy with its kit, and you are a killing machine ready to go. Check out our Pokemon Unite Item Guide for more details on the best held items to use.

Best Battle Items To Use As Zoroark in Pokemon Unite

The best option for Zoroark’s battle item in Pokemon Unite is the Full Heal. Zoroark has plenty of mobility options in his robust kit, thus it doesn’t really need X Speed or Eject Button. But no amount of mobility can save you from being stunned and focused down by enemy Attackers.

Full Heal protects your life from these pesky stuns, but also protects your combo build-up with Night Slash. Since getting stunned can easily disrupt your chain of casts. Check out our Pokemon Unite Item Guide for more details on the best battle items to use.
