Is Eldegoss Good in Pokemon Unite?

Pokemon Unite Eldegoss Moveset

Eldegoss is a Support Pokemon, thus if you want to be successful, you must not engage in solo battles and instead focus on supporting your comrades. The key to making the most of Eldegoss’ talents is maintaining the perfect positioning and being ready for action at all times. Being able to keep your teammates topped off with shields, heals, or movement speed buffs requires knowing when to retreat and when to go all in.

With the right positioning, you can punish the enemies with slows and long-range attacks that provide steady damage. This “peeling” will set enemies up with low HP for your lane buddy to feast. Keeping your Attackers, Speedsters, and All-Rounders well-fed is a great way to an easy victory.

Your team will have the advantage they need to out scale the opposition thanks to your healing, shielding, and movement speed enhancements. When Eldegoss achieves level 4, its offensive move will be upgraded. Eldegoss’ offensive prowess increases from this point on, but the damage it deals is still far below that of an Attacker Pokemon.

Naturally, as with any other Pokemon Unite Support, you don’t want to take Eldegoss offroadin’ through the jungle! Always lane with someone powerful but fragile, so you can both make up for the other one’s shortcomings. Eldegoss struggles with solo clearing in the jungle.

Pokemon Unite Eldegoss Best Build

Eldegoss’ passive ability is Cotton Down. When Eldegoss receives 5% max HP as damage in a single attack: it recovers HP, deals revenge damage, and decreases that enemy’s movement speed. This ability has a 10s cooldown.

Eldegoss’ attack becomes boosted every third strike, attaching a bit of cotton fluff to the enemy. In addition, Eldegoss’ auto attacks against an enemy with cotton fluff on it deal increased damage and decrease the enemy’s movement speed.

The first move that Eldegoss gains is Leafage. This move causes Eldegoss to shoot a trail of leaves that explode on impact with an enemy. Damaging and slowing movement speed in a small radius.

Move 1 Upgrade Options

Pokemon Unite Eldegoss Gameplay

The first upgrade option for move 1 is Pollen Puff. Eldegoss throws a puff of pollen, which attaches to any Pokemon that touches it. After a small delay, the puff will explode, damaging enemies and healing allies.

The other upgrade option for move 1, Leaf Tornado, conjures a tornado of leaves that damages enemies and increases the movement speed of allies that it passes through. When the tornado reaches max distance, it explodes in a small radius. You can hit each enemy twice with one use of this ability. First time with the tornado itself, and the second time with the explosion.

Both upgrades are super viable, to be honest. I guess it depends on your team. If you see a lot of Attackers or Tanks who lack mobility in your lineup, and the enemy has Assassins they might want to outrun, then take Leaf Tornado for the movement speed. If your team’s Pokemon have plenty of movement options opt for healing with Pollen Puff.

Move 2 Upgrade Options

Moving on, we have the second move which is Synthesis. Eldegoss uses sunlight to heal themself and nearby allies in pulses of healing in a small radius around them.

The first upgrade option for move 2 is Cotton Guard. Eldegoss grants itself and all nearby allies a shield. When the shield expires, it restores HP equal to 15% of the remaining shield value.

The second upgrade is Cotton Spore. Eldegoss channels gathering spores while increasing their movement speed. At the end of the channel, the spores are released damaging and throwing nearby enemies into the air, then slowing their movement speed when they land.

Right now Cotton Guard seems to outperform Cotton Spore in every meaningful way. Guard has no channel, and you can pop an extremely useful shield in the middle of a team fight instantly. You can use it as a source of healing if you picked up Leaf Tornado instead of Pollen Puff. And to top it all off, Eldegoss doesn’t really need more slowdown than its empowered attack provides.

Eldegoss’ Unite Move

Pokemon Unite Eldegoss Unite Move

Eldegoss gains Cotton Cloud Crash at level 9. It floats into the air becoming invincible and increasing its movement speed. If used again or after 3s, Eldegoss pounds the ground, damaging, shoving back enemies, and restoring its own HP.

Eldegoss Best Skill Loadout

Without a doubt, the best skills combo you can pick for Eldegoss is Leaf Tornado or Pollen Puff and Cotton Guard. This offers Eldegoss a lot of utility as a Support Pokemon with shielding, and either healing or a movement speed boost. Remember to pick out the upgrade to its first move based on your team and their kits. You want to cover for your team’s shortcomings as best you can.
