Is Sylveon Good in Pokemon Unite?

Pokemon Unite Sylveon Overview

Using Baby-Doll Eyes will slow down the targeted opponent’s mobility in the early stages of the game. This will assure maximum damage output and make setting up your level 4 move, Mystical Fire or Hyper Voice, simple.

When Sylveon deals or takes damage, its passive ability Pixilate allows it to stockpile additional Sp. Atk. and Sp. Def. Try to maintain Pixilate stacks by consistently inflicting harm with your basic attack and moves as long as you can during fights. You can gain stacks by getting hurt too, but be extremely careful since Sylveon is a pretty squishy Pokemon.

Sylveon receives its first move at level 4 just like other Eeveelutions do. Utilize this early power boost by concentrating on leveling up as quickly as you can at the beginning of the game by farming wild Pokemon.

Keep foes at the maximum range of your moves and basic attacks to keep yourself in relative safety since Sylveon can get KO’d quite easily. It’s essential to never rely on the auto-lock features of your ranged moves because they usually make you miss at maximum range. Relying on the auto-lock should be reserved for close-range emergencies.

You can decide where Sylveon will jump into the air and where it will land while using its Unite Move Fairy Frolic. You can utilize this to jump over obstacles like walls and other impenetrable terrains. Utilize this to ambush your opponents from the flank or to flee pursuing foes.

Pokemon Unite Sylveon Best Build

Sylveon’s passive ability is Pixilate. It increases Special Attack and Special Defense by 2.5% for 1.5 seconds whenever Sylveon deals or takes damage. This effect stacks up to six times.

Sylveon’s attack becomes boosted every third strike, dealing increased damage. Sylveon gains a massive boost to movement speed when this boosted attack hits. The first move Sylveon gains is Swift. It causes Sylveon to empower its next 4 basic attacks with increased damage.

Move 1 Upgrade Options

Pokemon Unite Sylveon Gameplay

The first upgrade option for move 1 is Mystical Fire. Dash in the designated direction and at the same time spawn 4 flames that move toward your dash direction. If they encounter enemies then they will travel toward them one by one, dealing damage and decreasing their Sp. Attack by 15%, stacking up to 4 times. Each time a flame hits a target the cooldown of this ability decreases. Wild Pokemon will only be prioritized if no enemy players are in range.

The other upgrade option for move 1, Hyper Voice, launches an assault of sound waves that deal damage to enemies caught in the radius. The further away the target is from Sylveon, the more damage is inflicted. Each sound wave hit lowers the enemy’s special defense.

Both upgrades are viable. The only difference being which combo speaks more to your style of play or what your team needs. The Mystical Fire and Draining Kiss combo gives you more sustain and a tiny bit of crowd control and has a more 1v1 focus. While the Hyper Voice and Calm Mind combo puts everything into maximum damage and team fight presence, with the addition of great range but at the cost of no sustain or crowd control.

Move 2 Upgrade Options

Moving on, we have the second move which is Baby Doll Eyes. It is a ranged attack that deals damage and decreases enemy attack and movement speed by 15%.

The first upgrade option for move 2 is Draining Kiss. Which bounces a kiss between Sylveon and the target enemy, healing Sylveon while hurting and slowing the target of this attack.

The second upgrade is Calm Mind. Sylveon buffs itself by increasing its movement speed and special attack damage.

As previously stated, if you pick Mystical Fire then follow up with the Draining Kiss upgrade. But if you prefer Hyper Voice then Calm Mind is a better bet. Any other combination of upgrades is next to worthless.

Sylveon’s Unite Move

Pokemon Unite - Sylveon's Unite Move

Sylveon gains Fairy Frolic at level 8. It jumps into the air, removing debuffs and becoming untargetable. The moment Sylveon lands, it gains the Fairy Frolic buff, while dealing damage to enemies in the landing area. The Fairy Frolic buff makes Sylveon heal for 50% of the damage dealt for 10 seconds.

Sylveon’s Best Skill Loadout

Sylveon has 2 skill loadouts that are both perfectly viable. The Mystical Fire and Draining Kiss combo for 1v1 potential and sustain. Or Hyper Voice and Calm Mind for sweeping the enemy team if they stick too close to each other in team fights.

Best Held Items for Sylveon in Pokemon Unite

A Choice Specs and Wise Glasses combo is a great way to further improve Sylveon’s already stellar DPS. It works especially well with the Hyper Voice and Calm Mind skill loadout. Throw in Focus Band to make yourself tankier, so you can stay on the battlefield longer. Check out our Pokemon Unite Item Guide for more details on the best held items to use.

Best Battle Items for Sylveon in Pokemon Unite

The best option for Sylveon’s battle item in Pokemon Unite is X-Speed or Eject Button. Sylveon can make full use of the mobility provided by these items to reposition itself, chase down enemies, or disengage a lost battle.
