Is Trevenant Good in Pokemon Unite?

Pokemon Unite Trevenant Guide and Build - Gameplay

Trevenant stands out from the other Pokemon due to the way he emphasizes life-stealing effects to get an advantage over opponents. Additionally, aggressive play is encouraged due to his range of healing techniques such as from his passive ability, Natural Cure.

Curse, one of his attacks, steadily saps Trevenant’s health, while it is active, and at the same time deals constant damage to adjacent opponents. As such, Trevenant’s health must be managed as you remain aggressive in pushing lanes and engaging the other team in combat. Before using your techniques, always make sure you have enough HP.

Trevenant’s capacity to support himself with continuous HP recovery allows him to outlast “tougher” Pokemon in long-game battles. However, you need to be careful of the Best Attacker Pokemon that are quick enough to break through Trevenant’s defenses and healing.

In particular, Pokemon with burst combos and great mobility, such as Cinderace and Greninja, can use these attributes to escape the range of your attacks and go on the counter-offensive. If you know Horn Leech, you may use it to temporarily disable enemies, or alternatively, you might utilize the move to flee.

The Branch Poke move provides Trevenant more mobility in the early game, allowing him to either flank enemies or flee from losing battles. This will be essential for bringing Trevenant near the foe so that he can them back in range of his damage abilities. At level 7, he will be able to acquire his next set of offensive move upgrades to deal more damage and cause disruption.

Pokemon Unite Trevenant Best Build

Pokemon Unite Trevenant Guide and Build - Moveset

Trevenant’s passive ability is Natural Cure. This is a continuous HP recovery effect that is activated when Trevenant does or absorbs damage when at or below 35% maximum HP. Moreover, this effect shortens Trevenant’s move cooldowns by 1 second. There is a 100s cooldown after the HP recovery effect ends. Each time one of Trevenant’s techniques injures an enemy, this cooldown is shortened by one second.

Trevenant’s attack becomes boosted every third attack and heals him for 5% max HP. The first move Trevenant gains is Will-o-Wisp. This sends forth ominous flames in the chosen direction, damaging any opponents struck and briefly burning them. This burn decreases the opponent’s attack and special attack.

Move 1 Upgrade Options

The first upgrade option for move 1 is Wood Hammer. Enemies in the area of effect of this Trevenant move are pulled in front of him and are rendered immobile. A follow-up attack will be accessible for 5s if this strike damages at least one adversary.

The subsequent move throws down a massive wooden hammer in front of Trevenant, damaging any foes it strikes and immobilizing them. The longer the adversary is rendered immobile, the lesser Trevenant’s Health will be. This attack uses 5% of Trevenant’s current HP each time it is used.

The other upgrade option for move 1 is Curse which depletes Trevenant’s maximum HP by 3% every second for 6 seconds. In tandem with this, it creates a cursed zone that does damage over time to foes in the area and slows their movement speed. Every time Trevenant deals or takes damage while performing this move, his Curse gauge fills up.

The discharge of Curse will cause extra damage to opponents in the AoE. Branch Poke, Horn Leech, and Pain Split have their cooldowns reset if the Curse gauge is at its maximum when it is unleashed. Wood Hammer outclasses Curse in every single aspect that you would need to fulfill Treventant’s role successfully and is therefore the better upgrade option.

Move 2 Upgrade Options

Moving on, we have the second move which is Branch Poke. When used, Trevenant jabs in that direction and when a target is hit he damages the target, slows their mobility, and heals himself.

The first upgrade option for move 2 is Horn Leech. This move sees Trevenant charge forward, becoming unstoppable, causing damage to and pushing adversaries throughout the length of the dash while moving in the selected direction.

Trevenant’s HP is restored three times when he collides with an adversary while charging, and the less HP Trevenant has at that time the more HP is restored. Trevenant’s subsequent three auto attacks inflict greater damage.

Pain Split is the second upgrade option. This establishes a connection between Trevenant and a chosen foe. When the link is active, a portion of the damage Trevenant would have received is reduced and instead sent to the connected foe as True damage.

This move constantly does damage and restores Trevenant’s HP once every 0.5 seconds if his remaining health % is lower than that of the connected foe. The bond will break if Trevenant and the connected foe are too far away.

Horn Leech and Pain Split are both great moves, Horn Leech grants you an additional mobility option to escape and close gaps between the enemies. Pain Split instead makes Tevenant a real pain for the enemy to remove from the battlefield, the constant healing and damaging cycle will make him extremely tanky while dealing substantial damage to the chosen enemy.

Trevenant’s Unite Move

Trevenant gains Phantom Forest at level 9. This creates a cursed forest that does damage to opponents in the area, marks them, throws them, and slows down their mobility by 50% for two seconds. Enemies marked by this move take more damage from Trevenant and his allies.

When this move hits an enemy, Trevenant is additionally given a shield for 6 seconds. The shield is enhanced up to 5 times for each enemy struck. The effects used to restore HP to Trevenant while he is protected by this shield are multiplied by 50%.

Trevenant’s Best Skill Loadout

The best Trevenant loadout is pairing Wood Hammer with either Horn Leech or Pain Split depending on what you need at the moment. This loadout offers the best mix of damage, survivability, and mobility Trevenant can achieve.
