Is Turenne a good general in Evony?

Turenne possesses one of the highest Ground Troop Attacks in the game and backs it up with huge HP and Defense Ground Troop buffs to make him easily one of the best Ground PvP Generals in the game. His Special Skill, Crossing the River Rhine, alone adds a massive 35% attack and defense to Ground Troops.

This makes him useful straight away but of course, investing in Specialities is necessary if you want him to be the best possible! His Special Skill and Specialities are also all active in defense, making him a solid option for a Ground Defense General. Indeed, with the right build, you can easily use him for both of these roles.

Turenne – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Please note, that this General can be ascended through the Evony General Ascending feature. Each ascended star level will add an additional buff to the General’s Special skill. Read our Evony General Ascending Guide for more details on Evony General Ascension.

Crossing the River Rhine

Increases ground troops’ attack by 35% and ground troops and mounted troops’ defense by 35% when General is leading the army.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Turenne will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

  • 1 Star – Ground Troop Attack +5%, Ground Troop and Mounted Troop HP +10%.

  • 3 Star – March Size Capacity +12%.

Turenne – Builds

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, defense, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General. It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.

Alternatively, you can swap out one of the books for a March Size Skill Book if you only plan to use Turenne in attack. This will allow you to send more troops but will not help in defense.

  • Skill Books:
  • Lvl 4 Ground Troop Defense – Ground Defense +25%
  • Lvl 4 Ground Troop HP – Ground HP +25%
  • Lvl 4 Ground Troop Speed – Ground Speed +20%
  • Equipment Refines:
  • Sword– Ground Troop Attack % x4
  • Armor – Ground Troop Defense % x4
  • Boots – Ground Troop Defense % x4
  • Helmet – Ground Troop HP % x4
  • Leg Armor – Ground Troop HP % x4
  • Ring – Ground Troop Attack % x4
