Is Charles V a good general in Evony?

Charles V has a stacked kit when it comes to taking charge of your Ground PvP march. Indeed, the only thing he is missing is a skin, but his other buffs more than make up for this. Straight out of the box, he can do a job for you, with no Skill Book restrictions to speak of and a Special Skill, Duke of Burgundy, that adds a massive 50% to the attack and defense of Ground Troops and a further 35% to their HP. However, it should be noted that the majority of his buffs are only active in attack, so you should only use him in this role. Likewise, you will notice he also grants some buffs to Mounted Troops, but these are overall quite low, and you are better focusing his marches on pure ground.

Charles V – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Duke of Burgundy

Increases ground troops’ attack and defense by 50% and increases ground troops and mounted troops’ HP by 35% when General is leading the army to attack.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Charles V will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – Attacking Ground Troop and Mounted Troop Defense +10% and HP +10%.
• 2 Star – Attacking Troop Death into Wounded Rate +8%.
• 3 Star – Attacking Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +25%, Attacking Ground Troop Defense and HP +10%.
• 4 Star – Ground Troop Attack +15%, March Size Capacity +10%.
• 5 Star – Attacking Ground Troop Attack +30%, Defense and HP +30%.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General. It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.
