How to Improve Dragons in Evony

When you first unlock a Dragon they are actually pretty weak and in some cases, you may be best continuing to use a Spiritual Beast until you have improved them. There are three main ways to improve a Dragon: feeding, Refining, and Talents. Details on each of these methods are outlined in the following sections of this Evony Dragon Guide.

Feeding Dragons in Evony

Feeding Dragons in Evony

Feeding Dragons is the only way to upgrade the level of a Dragon. Each time they are leveled up, their base attributes and buffs are improved. Dragons can be fed with Materials, Resources, Dragon Coins, Gems, Refining Stones, Medals, Badges, Sources of Life, and Research Stones. Each item gives varying amounts of EXP to the Dragon.

You will be given a selection of 6 different items that you can feed the Dragon with each day. This list can be refreshed for 2k Gems up to 10 times a day if you want to speed up the feeding process.

Dragon Talents in Evony

Dragon Talents in Evony

Each Dragon can learn 3 different talents which are essentially additional buffs they can provide your army. Talents are unlocked once certain criteria are met such as building level, Dragon level, etc. These differ for each Dragon.

After a Talent has been unlocked, you must spend Gems, Dragon Crystals, and Dragon Source Fragments to learn it and upgrade its level. The first and second Talents can be upgraded to a maximum level of 100 whilst the third Talent can be upgraded to a maximum level of 60.

The third and final talent that a Dragon learns is known as an Active Talent. These are activated in the options menu and are only active for a certain time with a subsequent 24-hour cooldown. Buffs gained from Dragon Talents are outlined in the table below.
