Is Francis I of France a good general in Evony?

Francis I of France is a versatile Ground Troop General who can be used with this troop type in both attack and defense due to a Special Skill that leaves his buffs active in both roles. In addition to this, his kit is well-balanced, buffing across stats, with his Special Skill, Knight King, adding 60% to Ground Troop attack and defense and 45% to their HP.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General. It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.
