Is Sun Wu a good general in Evony?

Sun Wu is a pure Evony Duty General that should be placed in the Academy. Whilst here, his Special Skill, Sage of War, increases research speed by 15% and increases the defense and HP of all troops by 20%. For those long research jobs, this makes a huge difference, whilst also adding some extra durability to your marches.

Sun Wu – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Sage of War

Increases research speed by 15% and increases troops’ defense and HP by 20% when General is the Academy Officer.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Sun Wu will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – When General is the Academy Officer, Attacking Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack, Defense and HP +20%
• 2 Star – When General is the Academy Officer, Defending Ground Troop and Mounted Troop HP +20%, Defending Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack +20%
• 3 Star – When General is the Academy Officer, Troops Attack and Defense +15%
• 4 Star – When General is the Academy Officer, Enemy Defending Troops Attack and Defense against your in-rally troops -15%
• 5 Star – When General is the Academy Officer, Attacking Siege Machine and Ranged Troop Attack and HP +15%, Rally Capacity +6%

Sun Wu – Specialities

These skills are unlocked once the Evony General reaches level 25. They can be expensive to develop, requiring Gems and Runestones. Read our Evony General Guide for more details.

Annihilation

• March Size Capacity +6%
• Attacking Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +10%

Sage (Applied to Academy Officer)

• Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Defense +15%

The Art of War (Applied to Academy Officer)

• Research Speed +15%
• Ranged Troop and Siege Machine Attack +15%
• Ranged Troop and Siege Machine HP +15%

As a pure Evony Duty General, there is no need to add skill books or equipment to this general. These have no impact on the general when they are on duty at a building.
