Is Guan Yu a good general in Evony?

Guan Yu makes a great Evony Ground PvP General. Although not quite as strong as other Generals of the same tier, he still packs some serious buffs. In particular, his special skill alone brings 20% Ground HP and 30 Ground attack.

You should avoid using him as an Evony Ground Defense General as the majority of his buffs are only active in attack.

Guan Yu – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Please note, that this General can be ascended through the Evony General Ascending feature. Each ascended star level will add an additional buff to the General’s Special skill. Read our Evony General Ascending Guide for more details on Evony General Ascension.

Guan Yu – Builds

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General.

It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.
