Is Leonidas I a good general in Evony?

Leonidas I is one of the most versatile Ground Generals in the game. Indeed, he is incredibly powerful when used as an Evony Defense General. Without any development, you will get an immediate 30% Ground HP buff from his Special Skill with the ability to also add a Ground HP Skill Book!

If you are struggling for a pure Evony Ground PvP General, then you can also use him in this role. However, this will require you to have done significant work on his specialties as his Special Skill is only active in defense. You are better off pursuing another option in this role.

Leonidas I – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

The 300 Spartans

Increases in-city ground troops’ attack and HP by 30% and in-city ranged troops’ attack by 25% when General is the Main City Defense General.

Ascended Special Skill Buffs

Below are the additional buffs that an ascended Leonidas I will receive to his Special Skill for each ascended star level.

• 1 Star – When General is the Main City Defense General, In-city Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Defense +15% and HP +10%.
• 2 Star – When General is the Main City Defense General, Hospital Capacity +20%.
• 3 Star – When General is the Main City Defense General, In-city Mounted Troop and Ground Troop Attack +20% and Defense +15%.
• 4 Star – When General is the Main City Defense General, In-city Ground Troop Attack +30% and In-city Mounted Troop and Ground Troop HP +20%.
• 5 Star – When General is the Main City Defense General, In-city Ranged Troop Attack +20% and In-city Ground Troop HP +30%.

Leonidas I – Specialities

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General.

It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.
