Is Pyrrhus a good general in Evony?

Pyrrhus is a top-tier Ground PvP General and Gound Defense General. His Special Skill, Pyrrhic War, adds 35% to Ground Troop attack and defense and a further 15% to Ground Troop HP. This is topped even more through some pretty huge specialty buffs.

In addition to this, he also gains some buffs to his Mounted Troops. This can allow you to run a pretty powerful mixed march of these Troop Types. However, overall he is best as a pure Ground General.

Pyrrhus – Special Skill

An Evony General’s Special Skill is always active and requires no development. Read the description carefully to ensure it is having the impact that you expect.

Please note, that this General can be ascended through the Evony General Ascending feature. Each ascended star level will add an additional buff to the General’s Special skill. Read our Evony General Ascending Guide for more details on Evony General Ascension.

Pyrrhus – Builds

The below builds outline which skill books and equipment refines you should use depending on your requirements.

Ground PvP

This build is ideal for players who are very ground-heavy. It sacrifices everything in favor of ground attack, HP, defense, and speed. This build will work well for both a ground attack march and as a Wall Defense General. It will help your ground troops get to the enemy quicker and give them greater HP to withstand ranged attacks as they go forward.

Alternatively, you can swap out one of the books for a March Size Skill Book if you only plan to use Pyrrhus in attack. This will allow you to send more troops but will not help in defense.

  • Skill Books:
  • Lvl 4 Ground Troop Defense – Ground Defense +25%
  • Lvl 4 Ground Troop HP – Ground HP +25%
  • Lvl 4 Ground Troop Speed – Ground Speed +20%
  • Equipment Refines:
  • Sword– Ground Troop Attack % x4
  • Armor – Ground Troop Defense % x4
  • Boots – Ground Troop Defense % x4
  • Helmet – Ground Troop HP % x4
  • Leg Armor – Ground Troop HP % x4
  • Ring – Ground Troop Attack % x4
